I'll start:

The compactor and the refinery should be changed so that I have to queue up the work. Currently, if I don't micromanage their existence, rushing to flip the power switch, they'll both rapidly drain the entirety of my nutrient paste stock into chemfuel and preserved food respectively. That's completely crazy and outright dangerous.

also is there a way you can change the meal taps to not be considered work places? having not much room on my spaceship i'm having to double up my rec room with a throne room and it keeps disrespecting the throne being in the same room, so if this could be looked at that would be much appreciated

Hi, my suggestion is to add compatability to the Connected Bed mod: https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3259209078

This mod adds bed-drippers which supply (or drain) Hemogen, Food (via VNPE) and/or water from DBH. Adding several types for different food tiers wouid be amazing.

Edit: I was not sure which end to suggest this, as both mods are an expansion on the VNPE.

UltraEmailMan, also, regarding this mod, I don't think that compatability should be with it, but with Adaptive Storage Framework itself, cause framework itself adding fridges and not this mod. This mod basically adds only textures and defs for it. This is just a note for my future self.

The Master, ye, quite possible. Rn it using logic of bioferrite harvester, so currently the main way to stop it from continuing to proccess more is to select an upper limit and disable auto unloading. So player could control manually when it need to unload current and start production of next amount.

Kas, nutrient paste feeding tube already covering this related to paste. If it cause issues, then it on the Connected Beds mod side, since VNPERP not changing behaviour of drippers code. Overall from what I see on their mod page it easier for their side to implement other features, since VNPERP is mainly a nutrient paste mod.

UltraEmailMan, looked into it and the way Adaptive Storage Framework make fridges sadly not gonna work with VNPE, since it work only with buildings that was using ASF from the start. But all fridge feeders and hoppers inherit from VNPE classes, which is codded differently.

any chance of adding mod options to adjust the values? the concept is great, but the mood buffs seem a bit high

YaBoiTem, all values adjusted through defs in game files, since they not hardcoded in the mod, so mod settings not really a good solution, since it will partially overlap with VNPE. But if you want to change mood buffs rn it located in mod folder Defs\ThoughtDefs\Thoughts_Memory_Eating.xml.

I wonder, Seeing how the meals themselves are nutrition wise cost equal to the non-paste versions with less of a Mood boost, why is Kibble so inefficient? In vanilla kibble costs 2 nutrition to make 2.5 nutrition (if you use the butcher table). In the mod you use 0.5 nutrition to make 50 paste-kibble (0.25 nutrition).

adHerry, well noticed. Paste kibble was too efficient, since it was taking only 0.5 ingredients instead of 2. So it was currently producing x4 times more paste kibble, than you could produce normal kibble. Will put back proper value in next update.
Is it possible to select what type of food is minced? For example lets say, that you could select in the grinder HOW it should grind the food. Meats and Vegies.
-My idea of sortation:
-All in: grinds every raw food nutrients into one
-Basic sorting: Calculates how many plant and meat matter is in nutrient VAT
-Specifical/Advanced - Calculates specific food (meats: normal, insect, human) (Vegies: normal, mushroom)

Also in the tap option you might select wich nutrient paste you want (for this example i will use fine paste)
-normal (if All in is select this will be default, if not. You select 50% vegies. They might be specific (mushroom only for underground colonists, other vege might be used for prisoners) and ofc meats.
-meat only (only when basic, to maky any meat meal, and advanced to make specific nutrient paste. Like only human meat meals for cannibal colony, and animal meat meals for prisoners)
-Vegetarian (vice versa)

I thought on this because i have canibal colony currently, and wondered but also saw this that i might have 3000 human meat in kitchen but theres a lot of animal meat and plants already in nutrient paste vat. This forces my colonist to have lets say 10% or 20% that they might get human meat paste. Its kinda frustrating. Im sure that many people would love this type of sorting for each type of colonists entities (Normal colony scenario: Fine meals for colonists from normal food, insect meals for prisoners and insect/human for animals)

Jetstream Sam, sadly not possible in a submod with how VNPE works rn, so better ask/suggest such VNPE devs. Cause rn VNPE doesn't keep track of what amount of each ingredient was grinded, which making it impossible atm as you can guess and not much can be done about it without changing source code. Was thinking about such for ages, but not much can be done with how things done currently. So for such either VNPE need to change it own logic or need to make new paste network mod from 0.
