so if i got this right, as far as efficiency and mood, simple-paste-meal = simple-meal, packed-paste = packaged-survival-meal, and cubes are slightly more efficent than pemcan. if that's right is there is no real reason to make their vanilla counterparts once you have a nutrient paste system set up?

I cannot seem to find the refridgerated hopper shelf and the refrigerated feeder . were they implimented or are they locked behind other research

LINX, original VNPE had only support for official Hospitality few months ago, so it inherited this patch from there. I see they recently swap it for continued one, will add it too then, but a bit later since currently I'm quite busy.

I have a lavish nutrient paste feeder that has 10 food packs on it but my colonist don't take it to eat and starve to death. Do i need to do something extra for them to eat it?

Anker, from what I remember vanilla forcing them on raw meat, so any type of meal that even containing meat not count.

I sort of doubt it, but can anomally ghouls, obligate meat eaters, eat nutrient paste meals if they contain nothing but meat?

It's a good mod. It's even a bit cheaty because it doesn't require a chef. But I just don't use fancy dishes.
The mod is addictive. I don't want to go back to the old pasta.

ihmisdildo, this mod doesn't change food priority of existing paste or food. So it quite possible you have something else unrelated to VNPERP affecting it. If you still sure that it caused only by VNPERP, then report it in Issue discussion thread with logs and more info for me to try reproduce it on my end.

Zahnloli, it should be pretty obvious, since while normal grinder will grind one stack in X amount of time, while high tech one will take only X/8 amount of time. Cause normal one grind produce only one paste from needed ingredients, while high tech one can produce up to 8 at the same time, consuming corresponding quantity of ingredients. Just imagine that you have giant colony, that goes through your paste really fast, so you need to really fast produce paste from ingredients. Which is that for production of 8 nutrient paste per grind you would need 8 normal grinders or only 1 high tech one.

I do have a question: What point is there in any of the upgraded grinders? They still only use one hopper at a time and sicne you have storage vats to buffer paste there's no real need to buffer food in multiple hoppers

Correction: The ingredients are not mixed. You can no longer use rice or beets if the container contains corn paste.

Readtext, all code regarding grinders is made by VNPE devs, while hoppers contain same plants as vanilla one. So if any plant is not getting grinded into liquid paste, then it should be reported to VNPE devs.

Please add support for the vegetables from Vanilla Plants Expanded.
The Delicious Chopper doesn't use these vegetables from the hopper.

@Snowy, I happened to encounter a similar problem. My understanding was that this happens due to different types of ingredients in your paste system: meat, human meat, insect meat, fungus, veg and similar. You might check that by inspecting produced pastes, if I am right you will find different types separated into different stacks around and in the feeder.

Snowy, base feeders made by parent VNPE mod, so if same happen even with normal feeder, then it should be reported to them. If it happening only with VNPERP feeders, then report it with logs in issue discussion thread.

i found a problem with the nutrient paste feeders. it isnt placing nutrient paste on the feeder and just keeps spawning it around it until it spends up all my nutrient paste :c

the kibble feeder always keeps itself at 150 despite wanting it to be lower than that, hell i can tell it to store nothing and itll still keep itself topped up.

This may be a stupid question, but still i'm asking: For the different tier of nutrient paste, do i need different types of food? Or can i for example just use rice to get the highest level of paste?

I think the Dripper is a bit ... useless, it only feed hungry pawn, and at that point, my pawn already wake up and go to get food manually, the only good way to use it is link it with hospital bed where pawn stay in bed longer and require feeding

If there a way to force feed pawn and make them always full, that would be more useful, but i guess that will cost more food since the hunger bar doesnt as low as before

This mod is great! It makes nutrient paste on a gravship way more doable and eventually quite efficient. Hard to beat it.

honestly at first, i don't liked this mod that much after trying it, but now i have one great use for this, keep feeding my animals without much problem

I can still make the dispenser dispense simple meals manually but I would like the colonist to use it normally, I already allowed them to eat everything and nothing is forbidden

So I upgraded from the base nutrient paste to simple and my colonist no longer eat from the dispenser (the dispenser is also upgraded to simple) do I need to upgrade or drain the vat tank?

Though installing it midgame seems to have issues. My existing grinder and tank keeps emptying, despite not consuming paste anywhere near so fast as it's bottoming out.

For everyone who was encountering incorrect fluid paste convertion into paste meal types: patch was updated to correlate with the recent VEF update changes, so it fixed now.

OceanicOxen, oh, right, that one, now I remember. Ig last update of VEF changed that method and tranpiler now need an update. Wish they were notifying when they change something so fundamental.

its a transpiler in HarmonyPatches in your mod though
