Trains of the Rim
Feedback
So far, I really love the mod. Always been a huge fan of trains, and this is one brilliant way to allow fast travelling on the world map before gravships or planes.

However, my biggest criticism of the mod is actually constructing the railroads themselves, and utilising them. To me, the best use for this mod is to link multiple friendly settlements for trade, however, with how long it takes to build the tiles, and the 30 day restock cooldown, I found I seldom use them.

On the save I've been currently playing, I ended up with a caravan of about 74 pawns (70 of them being slaves, since raw prisoners did not count for building progress) building a railway. It took just about 2 years to hook my colony up to the nearest imperial settlement for trading purposes. And after all that work was complete, I now get to trade with said settlement twice a year. Which feels a bit rubbish, honestly.

My personal suggestions would be to reduce the time it takes to construct railroads significantly. As to be able to make them quickly as it stands, you need a monumental, TPS killing workforce, and a large food production chain to keep it stable. I don't know if it's possible to tie research to the railroad build cost, as that could be an option for balance.

Curious to get your thoughts on the recent changes I made to railroad construction time

- Adjusted the amount of work required to build a railroad from 2000 to 1500. This means it is 25% faster than before. For context, building a stone road costs 1000 work.
- Added a road building speed multiplier setting in the Mod Options. You can adjust the road building speed with a slider to be up to 10 times faster.
- Bug fix: Prisoners and player controlled mechs will now contribute to railroad building

That already sounds fantastic. I'll have to give it a go as soon as I get the chance!
