How I did this
  1. Ran ROTBD in a N64 emulator (Rosalie's Mupen GUI)
  2. Used GlideN64 Ripper Plugin to dump all textures and models
  3. Loaded the scenes into Blender with the GlideN64 Blender plugin, separated out the units individually
  4. Wrote and used a custom Python plugin that converts all the Blender materials into a single texture atlas, keeping original UV's intact and converting all the tiny original texture tiles into a single packed atlas. Efficient and much easier to port into the game.
  5. Added hardpoints, original cockpits, basic geos, collision, scaled correctly to BZR, mirrored geometry
  6. Exported to VDF/SDF and mesh

Fun facts: N64 scaling is roughly 3x what BZR is.
