Suggestion. US airborne retreat points. Soviet partisan pathfinders/workers with HQ building abilility.
Both forces are similar. Paratroopers and partisans. They fight outside of front-line. And they should be able to survive without army help as much as possible.

The Relic's CoH2 engine already good optimized for large maps, and with time while the power of computers still grows, any suggestions for large maps and large battles will become more and more actually.

-----------------

IMHO. US paratroopers should have their own retreat point. The most close candidate for it - is the airborne beacon. Like partisan HQ.

And I think, US airborne forces should have their own command squad (and partisans too), not only that "airborne commander" with airdrop calling ability, but in addition a lower ranked fighting leader. Also, IMHO, it should to expand US forces with some other types of squads, but it is the another speech, and it should not to be in hurry with it, at least - they need their own retreat point.

------------------

IMHO. Partisans should be able to operate without army engineering regulars. So they should have their own pathfinders with ability to build partisan HQ. Or for some asymmetry - some kind of partisan "workers" without ability of camouflage. But without camouflage they should be able to do something else except building the single HQ. Say, they should be some equivalent of army assault engineers, but instead of assaulting for them it is better to be something like defenders of the "partisan forest", hunters, like german jägers but irregulars, "ljesniks".

Anyway, soviet army engineers must not build partisan HQ because they are not partisans.

And soviet partisan "airborne commander" must not be a regular officer. (At least he may be an officer "from encirclement".) Because the Soviet Stavka didn't like partisans very much. As they often didn't obey. And soviet regular officers very rarely led partisans or command their operations (of course, partisan commanders often might be real officers, but yet often officers "from encirclement", without being straight commanded by the Soviet Stavka).
