200 Hours on "All Units (141 Added)" - The Good and the Bad
First off. Serious question. What could you have possibly been thinking when adding the "radar" building? All this building does, is add three units that can call in all of the doctrinal airstike/artillery abilities. So what happens everytime you play a game 2v2 with some AI is they just spam airstrikes and artillery call ins. Building defensive positions is just impossible. Not to mention the AA in the game sucks absolute ♥♥♥♥. You need 10+ ostwinds to even do any damage to the planes.

I've been using this mod for probably 80% of my gameplay on CoH 2. I have all of the DLCs and trust me, this airstrike/artillery office thing is a load of ♥♥♥♥. These stupid call ins should be limited to DOCTRINE ONLY. I think its obvious that Hard/Expert AIs get double even triple the resource rate that normal players get. So why would we willingly give them a unit that allows them to spam call in stirkes that cost just about no money to them??

(I understand the mod is supposed to be "all units" and include everything, but you gotta draw the lines with certain things.)

Also, the 7.5 cm Field gun for the OKW Germans, what the hell is up with that thing?!?!? It can fire non-stop with basically no cool down, and its dead accurate. Like accurate enough to hit the roof of my tanks 5 times in a row. I seriously doubt that is plausible.


Another thing, why does the Tiger 1 suck so much? I mean I cringe sending it 1v1 against an easy-eight sherman or cromwell. This tank should CREAM those two tanks.

I do not even want to bring up how bad the Pershing is.... don't even get me going.

The Elefant, Tiger 2/B, and Jagdtiger are all on par IMO, those tanks are spot on.


Lastly, the unit suppression. Why can infantry crawl past three of my MG nests that are literally all pointed at a bridge? I just don't understand how the AI can always pin my units directly to the ground, however their units seem immune to bullets sometimes.


I can go on an on, I have about 200 hours on this mod playing mainly as the Soviets and Wehrmacht, with a fair amount of time playing as US and the British. I don't know what exactly has been tweaked in this mod, and don't get me wrong it is the ONLY good mod I have found so far for CoH 2. But the airstrikes and artillery are literally pushing my buddies and I to make our own mod. Which isn't a big deal, we can do it. It just sucks because the mod we are building is going to be essentially the same thing as All Units (141 Added), but with our own balancing tweaks put into it.

I understand you put alot of your own free time into this mod SneakEye. My point in this post is there are some aspects of the mod I find very frustrating, they literally ruin the game sometimes.

If you don't want to fix the issues I stated for any reason I completely understand. I also want to say again that this mod is literally the BEST MOD I have come across for CoH2. I don't want to come across as ungrateful, or belligerently bashing a free tuning pack. I just wanted to express my opinion on some of the aspects of the mod.

Thanks for your opinion about the mod. About the radar building: this building is created on request of the community and has been designed to cost a lot of resources. This buildng is disabled for the AI to avoid the AI from spamming this. The cooldown for standard commander artillery is also delayed by three times for te AI to avoid the arti spam. These changes are applied a half year ago because I had the same frustrations as you have. It supprises me that you still have these bad experiences.

Second about the tanks: all stats are default and not changed in this mod. I agree that some tanks need a little boost and that is why the Pershing has received the armor upgrade.

The AI is like an all knowing player and has received some boosst by Relic. I'll look into their stats to see what boost they have in the mg situation. I haven't edit this in the mod and should be the same as the vanila game.

Last about the AA: I've added the AA mode to the OKW flak, the US halftrack and the British Centaur. These abilties are already improved, but I'll try to add such a ability to the Ostwind.

I hope that this will help you understand how this mod changes the game and I will try to improve the given subjects even more.

To be honest I was pretty heated when I wrote my original post, but I feel it stated my point. I understand the use of the Radar building, but it does not work with my playstyle. Unfortunately I guess we are outnumbered by the community.


No matter, now that I know you haven't modified the tanks or anything like that I will certainly redact much of my previous concerns. Here I thought you had tweaked some things but since they are the same as the original game I won't harp on you for it. There are other mods that the creators have messed with the tanks pen/dmg levels and they are actually quite "broken" so to speak.


As far as requests go there is one major one I have, Medics trucks/Ambulances for ALL factions. I despise that we always have to have a guy playing as the US just so we can reinforce out troops.


Anyway, I hope my post doesn't come off as too much of a beatdown. This mod is extremely well put together and is still the best mod for CoH2 in my opinion.

The Soviet and Wehrmacht have indeed little forward reinforce possibilities (Only an expensive mid/late game halftrack). I'll think about some new options to give them that ability. Although, I try to avoid copying units between the factions, so the ambulance won't be added.

What kind of maps are you playing on where you get bombed by call in's non stop? If you play on huge maps / player made maps with tons of ammo points this is just going to happen. I play VS expert AIs and I don't get bombed too much unless I am turtling, and if your doing that your losing the game anyway.

And the Tiger is a heavy tank, in CoH2 that means it's a jack of all trades kind of tank, it wont win vs tank killers but it can attack inf blobs and light trucks much better then most other tanks while skill being able to go toe to toe with other tanks even if it's not the best at killing other tanks.
