It it's any consolation, the Hetzer 38(t) is rather close to being a Jagdpanzer, and it may be possible for someone with access to the tools to combine the hit box (and models) from the Stug and Hetzer to create a Jagdpanzer because the actual hull shares several traits from both the Hetzer and Stug in some models, however this is only a suggestion as there are enough physical differences to make it difficult to accomplish and an imperfect final product, but not impossible.
Either way, at least in my opinion, I am perfectly happy with the thought you have already put into the subject since you have already added a lot to a game that was already offering quite a lot to work with.
