Is it well timed?
I know its a stupid question, but some taunt creators are kind of making this mistake, like the trash bucket one that is shown very late. Would be sick if the enemy could see the spy pointing his gun (and not him putting the gun away)

The killcam takes roughly 3 seconds from Kill -> Final pose and this taunt takes 1.1 seconds to get to the appropriate held pose and holds it for another extra 1.2 seconds

Assuming you kill the opponent and immediately start taunting, you have a grace period of roughly 1.2 seconds where you can initiate your taunt and still pose for the killcam with the revolver pointing at it which is basically the perfect amount of time to start taunting

tldr: yeah, it's well-timed
