L1: completely broken mechanics, bugs that affect strategic progress, no workarounds


Fixed
  • L1: Templar has a broken ability tree and his gauntlets do not attack during combat
  • L1: check compatibility of armor plates, vests, armor upgrades

I don't know how to fix it

L2: annoying bugs, individual mission or soldier bugs that can affect certain aspects of the game but don't paralyze the entire party, there may be workarounds

Fixed
  • L2: the ability is broken and hangs on everyone's Stunning Strike - not a bug but a feature [WOTC] Nonlethal Combat
  • L2: remove creeping filter from soldier selection screen
  • L2: [WOTC] Unlimited Ability Icons mod doesn't work
  • L2: No recruits available - not a bug but a feature LWOTC

I don't know how to fix it
  • L2: Do not use Fulton Harnesses or Alternative Evac methods to Evac the Civilians that are supposed to be escorted and evacuated normally (from original mod)
  • L2: Warning: Don't raise any zombies in heavily scripted missions like the one where you meet the Chosen for the first time, or ones where you assault a Chosen's stronghold. Those missions want you to evacuate an exact number of soldiers and having a zombie messes up its math. There's nothing I can do to fix this. It's too heavily scripted. (from original mod)
  • L2: Do not take any Alien to Shens Tower as they cannot use the elevator tube. Also they can not pickup Blacksite Vial or open the stasis tube at forge. (maybe fixed) (from original mod)
  • L2: solution to the occasional problem with the evacuation zone on underground maps: console commands "EnableGlobalAbility PlaceEvacZone" - recreates the evacuation zone or "x2useability evac" - evacuate the current unit

L3: visual bugs and other things that don't affect progress

Fixed
  • L3: Customize or Remove [WOTC] Quick Soldier Info
  • L3: duplication of research

I don't know how to fix it
  • L3: there is no image for "Combat Drone Breakdown" technology (from original mod)
  • L3: there is no image Inv_Random_TLM, the rest seem to be displayed normally ([WOTC] TeslaRage's Loot Mod) (from original mod)
  • L3: When displaying a mission on the geoscape screen, not all SITREPs are displayed. On the squad selection screen, all SITREPs are displayed. (from original mod)
  • L3: text and time from "Full Shadow Report" are not hidden on both screens when selecting the corresponding option in the menu (from original mod)
  • L3: [WOTC] Disable Any Class GTS Redux not working when promoting soldiers via Second wave option - 'veteran crew' (from original mod)

Pending investigation
  • L3: RutvenCheat: some genes did not change the time of introduction
  • L3: the tactical screen does not fit the SITREP description if there are many of them

С 3 раза получилось запустить компанию, но при запуске второй миссии сразу выкидывает

im assuming this is expected behavior but i set all cosmetics to 0 using the options menu as instructed (except basic DLC) but new campaigns had all random appearance for soldiers? this is made worse by the fact that many cosmetics result in invisible body parts.

also related to cosmetics, the appearance outfits presets menu comes with some presets - some of which can be deleted (accidentally in my case), started a new campaign, deleted presets were still deleted? perhaps i can reset from mod menu?

im hoping you might release a version of this pack with only essential cosmetics at some point. or at least mostly broken cosmetics are fixed/removed.

minor bug - starting with Second wave option - 'veteran crew' results in the gifted crew being assigned with banned classes -from the class disabling menu. im not totally convinced banned classes dont get offered even after disabling them, but this doesn't matter to much as we get a choice of classes anyway.

i set basic options as instructed before installing long war, but they dont seem to have stuck correctly. will launching the game through steam allow me to save the options correctly? will launching the game this way brake anything?


thank you so much for the methodical and rigorous approach to integrating all the best xcom has to offer. you're the best. are future updates likely to recommend starting new campaigns?

ok, so i reinstalled and fixed settings reseting.

i also noticed the included character pool, its amazing! i tried to edit it using the pool editer that one guy made but there are too many mods tied to the pool so it fails to load. was hoping to use it to run all the lovely biographys you crafted through translate.

by using the character pool, totally avoids having loads of wonky characters. great stuff! please mention in your guide

To be honest, I haven't really figured out cosmetics yet. But it seems that invisible and random armor is the expected behavior for so many cosmetic mods, unless there is a pool of characters, and I don't have one.
If something annoys me in a soldier's cosmetics, it can be quickly solved by randomizing cosmetics in his settings.
And the main soldiers can be customized in detail, with a careful selection of exactly the armor that you like.
If you know how to improve this behavior, let me know.

If you see that some cosmetics behave absolutely incorrectly and should be removed from the modpack - let me know the name of the mod, I will take a closer look.

The game should always be launched via AML - this is the standard for all current modpacks

I hope not. Unless the core game mods request it. I don't plan on making such edits, but anything can happen.
