It would be cool to have a learning scheme for court chroniclers, where you can generate your liege renown while gaining gold for yourself

@ENFP thanks for the idea! Added in the new update.

Might I suggest a slightly higher cooldown for how often you can use "attend court?" I think a year or two would be more balanced for the resources you can get to better balance it with vanilla mechanics.

Thanks for all the input @ENFP! I did have the cooldown a bit longer before release (maybe 6 months) but lowered it since I thought people might get bored with such a long wait, especially if they don't want to travel and instead stay at court for rp. I didn't think it was much more powerful than just completing contracts as an adventurer but I suppose a skilled character can do the schemes quite quickly.

I'll experiment with increasing it in the test branch (which if you wanted to try is really just as stable as this plus some extra/early features), but if you wanted in the meantime to make the change yourself you can open the mod's folder, go to "/common/decisions/lopc_decisions.txt" and change the X in "months = X" under "lopc_attend_court_decision" to whatever you'd like.

I'd love base level or more average like being able to be a servant at someone's court or a lady-in-waiting for rp aspect.

Thanks for the suggestion @Thelady! With the "disband camp" decision you can already work your way up from homeless and unemployed to working at a court like any other title-less courtier on the map. Should be possible to use the in-game request court position interaction to become a lady in waiting too.

I could probably add extra lady-in-waiting content or maybe a character designer trait to start as lowborn (with a lowborn specific service scheme at court?)
May I suggest reducing the acceptance penalty for tribal/nomadic rulers? I started as a Norse adventurer in 867, used Love Marriage Family to make myself a bastard of a local ruler, disbanded my camp, and then joined my father's court. But later when I left it, I couldn't join another because all the Norse rulers had essentially a base -80 to overcome. Even with boni from languages, skills, prestige level... wasn't enough. And I couldn't rejoin my father's court because of a cooldown period. Effectively removing all possibilities for doing anything. Making county level tribal rulers not have the "court is too important" penalty or at least reducing it to a -5 instead of -30 for them would help a lot.

Also, some way of becoming an adventurer again could be a way out.

Thanks for the comment! I'm surprised that you can't join the court with all those bonuses. So long as they don't hate you, you speak the language and have some prestige/skills/piety (I could add a same-dynasty bonus too) it should be enough. -30 seems pretty hefty for a county so I'll give it a look soon.

If you're using Really Landless there should be another option to join their court. That also boosts Seek Court Employment acceptance.

As for the last bit, that is possible. Once you've disbanded your camp there's a bunch of interactions you can use on yourself including becoming an adventurer again, however it's supposed to be a goal/milestone so requires a high enough level of fame. "Search for Opportunities" also gives you a little more to do (e.g join a mercenary company) during the cooldown to rejoin your father's court.
I'm currently on a Norse adventurer run (in combination with the adventurer raiding mod) and I was wondering if you could implement Varangian guard content in the future? Feels like a missed opportunity that you can send relatives to join the guard but not join yourself.

Cool idea. I'll look into adding something.
Looking forward to it :-)
