[B42] Week One NPC
Civilization restarted almost two weeks into apocalypse
So yeah... everytime I start my adventure with this mod, something bad happens. First, I complained about lack of npcs when day 7 passed, and there were only zombies, right? Well, now there are only humans...

So what happened, okay so basically, everything was running smooth, I'm on day 11. There were zombies, some survivors, and then BAM, I load my save today, and what do I see? People running on the streets, cars driving the roads again, no zombies, and cops events appearing again. And also errors start appearing cyclically. So I assume, the save is a goner, but I don't understand how the civilization did reset itself.

My mods installed are: Bandits, Bandits Week One and Bandits Creator. Nothing else. Can someone explain the cause, so I don't mess up another start I make?

Yeah, the save is done for, cyclically a single error is added without pause. And zombies dissapeared completely, and it was my best run ever. I would really like some answers if someone can provide.

Sometimes when the game crashes some data is not saved. If that happens save becomes unstable as it lacks the data

Damn, I guess I was unlucky with this run then. Thanks for the answer.

Sounds like a great random event imo. The naysayers were right, the infection was just a hoax after all and the govermnent took care of everything and the world returned to normal. Now you're horribly in debt and have to work two jobs.

Right, your comment is indeed funny, but I wasn't happy when all my progress was gone, I survived 11 days, it was a big deal for me. But it is what it is.

Lmao, it happened to me too. Day 9 and the town is partially burned down, but people are still alive and going about their day but there's the occasional zombie. Its wild watching karen beat a zombie to death with a tennis racket before calmly walking away.

Lol. If you still have zombies then you are in a different situation. Did you experience any game crash before that? I did.

My experience was the exact opposite, I exited the game which should have saved everything as is. When I came back everyone was replaced by zombies, I was only on like day 4 or so?

I think I did crash on day 4 or so. Bandits and sweeper squads are more common than zombies, but the inevitable corpses it creates will sometimes reanimate. I moved my guy to Louiseville and its great. Money has no value so you can just take whatever you want from stores. But people are still going to work and can call the cops on you if you trespass or accidentally kill someone. Its literally the best week one experience I've ever had and I hope it becomes a feature.

So it's because of the crash then, even the author confirmed that this may be the case. I also had crash, it seems that hard crashes ruin the scripts of this mod :/ We're not on the same page, for me it ruined the experience. But good for you that you enjoyed the "modified" experience of this mod ;p

I totally get why you dislike it 7 days is a long time and I often just sleep through the first few days so I can enjoy the finale. But I always wanted to see an outbreak spread organically and see how npcs dealt with it while trying to live their day to day lives. Its not perfect, I wish there were scripted (but not overwhelming) zombie outbreaks, like how bandits spawn in small groups. Maybe 5-10 and let them snowball from their own kills or get wiped out quickly. Really, they don't stand a chance against cops and civ kung fu, but its really fun to watch.

Yes experiencing it out of curiosity may be interesting.

This happened to me. The game didn't crash, I saved, logged off, and now everyone is people again.

Without crash? Damn so how does that happen? Are you getting constant errors as well? I did.

Same. Not sure about you but I was doing the convict scenario.
Still get the "no money, item stolen" message, the cops and paramedics still show up , no zombies around anymore and people are just walking around, no worries.
