xp bug?

he so im not sure if this is a bug or not the shotguns gives the same xp as a pistol in point plank range isnt it supposed to give more cus it shoots more shells per shot?

No, that was changed in B42 Unstable. Shotguns still shoot 9 pellets, but you get the same experience as you would for hitting with 1 bullet.
