-Extremely positive results from CONOG-IEP experiment but expense, space, legacy architecture, and material limitations prove the need for a new platform. New construction recommended in favor of any further modernization or life extensions of the platform.
-Expected remaining service life: Iowa, Missouri, and Wisconsin should be phased out of service as soon as new ships become available. New Jersey estimated 30 additional years of service after refit.
