Frequently Asked Questions
This is the FAQ - feel free to suggest other questions to add to it in this thread.

My transport is cheap/below base price, how do I raise demand?
That’s intentional: The whole point of industrialisation was that some things became cheap which enabled other things to become possible.
Transport is a major essential need for pops and agriculture, so it’s designed so that late-game it is possible to have very cheap transport and still have transport be profitable to produce.
A successful and highly industrialised late-game economy should have cheap electricity, transport, and services.

My power plants aren’t producing power?
You have a mod conflict that I don’t have a patch for. Read the Full Compatibility Notes

My urban centers have a huge penalty to construction efficiency?
Urban Centres give a bonus to construction based on their level, and a penalty based on their employment.
This means that UC's with low employment will boost construction, and crowded ones will cancel that out. It also means that when UC's are very big and have huge throughput bonuses, they will cause fairly large penalties - this may be made worse by other mods that don't have balance compatches. (In particular, the Super Power mod is likely to make this get out of hand.)
*When other mods aren't messing with things - this is an intended feature to encourage both the player and AI to build in more states once some are already developed. This era did not have the technology to efficiently handle the level of urbanism that is possible.

My trade centers are causing negative migration attraction?
Trade Centres give a base bonus because trade is good, but very large trade centres start to become overwhelming. This negative should never be enough to cause serious problems, just slow things down.
For an IRL example: Most places like to encourage trade and tourism - Parisians hate tourism because Paris (which has been a centre of commerce for centuries) gets so many people through it that it overwhelms the culture. People still *visit* Paris, but its actual growth has been much slower than comparable cities elsewhere.
