Taunt: Rock Bottom
Cheese Potential due to "Playing Dead"?
Do you guys think this is too easy to hide with? How visible are the Animations for the typical Player in intense Combat?

yes, its not gonna be 100% the same as a ragdoll.

but there is a lot of room between "literally undetectable" and "clearly noticeable". in the heat of battle, especially on more noisy background textures, this can be overlooked very easily. additionally, i dont think players should keep a list on what to look out for for taunts that gets expanded every update. this should be intuitive.

i mean even the spy coffin and boxtrot has been an issue to the point where valve literally made it so you couldnt stop the cart with this. so this isnt just some niche concern, its literally adressed by valve. and even now you can still use those taunts for blending into the envoirnment when you would otherwise have gotten caught & killed.

in the case of spy, you could at least argue that he is the invisible class anyways, so its not that bad. but demo isn't.

Exactly, just a little

any player not aware of this taunt being in the game can be easily fooled. Author can fix this by making the demoman always clearly moving so players can see it's not a ragdoll

honestly, i could imagine this being "fixed" by making the pose less believeable for a ragdoll but still immersive. maybe have him sleep in an incredibly uncomfortable position, like on top of a small round boulder that makes his back arch. maybe even have him adjust his back on standing up, and add some cracking noise for added humor

not to mention the obvious pun

Here's an idea, the Z's would be a bit larger, higher opacity, and appear more frequently reducing the odds of missing them or looking at him when it's basically impossible to tell.

He could also sleep with his mouth open, adding another sign since corpses always close their mouth.

I do agree this is kind of a box trot situation, although I really wanna see this in game, it's great.
