I am also experiencing this, I updated to the .39 validation release and without any other mod besides this one cannot open the menu using lctrl + u :( could UMM need an update? I am using a separate keyboard from my laptop if that matters...

I will have a look at the key press interceptor. Reckon I might be able to look for any CTRL press, not left LCTRL.

I've tried the latest version of the mod and it still does nothing when I use ctrl + u, I'll try reinstalling the game next :/

The window won't appear :steamfacepalm:

Just because I don't want people to think this issue has gone into the ether and is being ignored, I wanted to touch base and let you know am still trying to replicate it.

I am also looking into how I can allow people to modify the shortcut in the mod options (just in-case there is a shortcut conflict with any type of game overlay or underlying OS tool that beats out the game inputs).

As a short-term fix, I think I'll create a visible button on the main game UI that can be clicked if the shortcut doesn't work. I can at least get that solution out faster while I work on the shortcut thing.

Still working on this (as an FYI). Can't nail down why certain hardware setups aren't registering the CTRL presses. I have extended the mod to accept both LCTRL or RCTRL as the modifier key and added a UI button for mouse click.

I'll have time this weekend to work on adding the ability to configure your own shortcut.

news?

Apologies. Work interjected and I'm on a lengthy road trip for the next few months which means my main PC with my gaming dev tools is sitting at home collecting dust.

I should get a week back home in early September where I'm going to give this one another go.

I'm unable to get LCTRL or RCTRL + U to work AND there also does not appear to be any button on the UI. Any ideas?

Mod finally updated to allow configuring of key binding to open the mod in-game.

Version 1.5.0 of the mod has this ability.

Apologies for the delay. RL matters interjected themselves and took me away from the keyboard.

I'm in the same boat as Stingray. Neither L or R CTRL + U pull up the window and there isn't a button on the UI, or at the very least next to the Codex "?" button. I just re-installed the game and subscribed to the mod yesterday. Tried to refresh mods in-game and even disabled all other mods except for Universe Bounty, no luck.

Im having the same issue as justy i would recommend to put a button to click on it next to the codex so its easy to get to and actually usable.

Might have found a fix to the problem :lunar2020confidentrooster:
After installing Unity Mod Manager for the game, a mod manager window appears when the main menu is reached. There the mod should be listed as one of the mods under name if this is the case follow 2. (If this is not the case go to 1.)

1.
If the mod is not listed in the mod manager window then it can´t be found and you will have to manually install it.

To do this:
-Subscribe to the mod on steam.
-Find the mods folder on your pc. (In my case (steamapps\workshop\content\1176470\3293065056)).
If some of the files have the Universe Bounty in their name then your at the right place.
-Find the Terra Invicta root folder and follow the path (Terra Invicta\Mods\Enabled).
-Make a new folder in the Enabled folder, with the name "Universe Bounty" without "".
-Copy the files frome the first folder with the mod to the new folder we just created, and bam we are done, now the mod manager should be able to find the mod :slimehappy: go follow step 2.

2.
In the top of the mod manager window go to the tab settings, where you should be able to set a hotkey/activation key for the mod, after which the mod worked for me. :steamhappy:

Still does not work

Version 2.0.0 does away with the custom UI and utilises UMM to run the UI in it, so this buggy feature should no longer be an issue.
