Compatibility with other Mods
Mods Compatible Out of the Box

I've gone to great length to make Mos Maiorum compatible to other mods, particularly those that add new maps or factions.

  • Iberia Sandbox
  • Classical World 10
  • Classical World 9
  • Classical World 3
  • Alternate Start Dates
  • More Faction Groups
  • More Playable Invaders
  • Vanilla Augmented (VA)

Note: make sure to adjust your mod loadorder

Kingdom of Macedon

Mos Maiorum in principle is compatible with Kingdom of Macedon, BUT you'll need to slightly modify Kingdom of Macedon's config file to make it work.

As it turns out, the Kingdom of Macedon mod has a legacy <time> section in its config file, which causes the timed scripts not to work properly. You can still make it work if you manipulate your local installation.

If you want to do this, then go to the Kingdom of Macedon mod (steam/steamapps/worksho/content/308173/642499554) and then to resources/scenarios/kingdomofmacedon/kingdomofmacedon.xml.

Open this file and delete the following lines:

<time>
<day>40.3011</day>
</time>

Save. Now it should work.

Sub Mods

Some people have created sub-mods to Mos Maiorum, which should be compatible per se. However, they depend on the creative effort of their creators, not mine, so I can't guarantee anything.

Other Mods

I can't gurantee everything will work with other mods or using them will make sense. But if you try and find no issues, then I'll gladly put up a list here to share with other players. Just drop me a comment.

Adjust Loadorder

In the mod folder C:\Users\...\Documents\Longbow Digital Arts\Hegemony III\Mods there is a loadorder.txt file. Please make sure that the entry for MosMairoum is below all "compatible mods" and above all "sub mods".

When you say to adjust the load order, what should the order be? Should Mos Mairorum be loaded after the compatible mods but before either of the submods?

You probably mean "Hegemony 500"? No, not compatible. Technically it might even work, but CaPutt and me tried to achieve similar things in different ways, so it would be very confusing to have both mods active.
