Shadowrun: Dragonfall - Director's Cut

Desert Wars
The late game Supergun.
It's of questionable design, and could be better implemented.

The APDS ammo is correctly pointed out as rare and expensive, but then you wind up using 6 bullets per attack, with damage lower than some basic weapons. Better to use a
Large military rifle (16 base damage) or a high caliber revolver (16 again). Higher damage, yes, and that's also per shot, meaning you're using 'less' of that rare ammo in-world.

The worst part is the lack of any AP value, when that's what IT'S FOR.

The best idea would be a dialogue prompt to get a Death Dealer tuned to your skills. Failing that, I'd at least raise AP to 5, and consider using a larger base gun.

I agree that adding an armor piercing gun is going to be questionable based on the fact that we don't have ammo choices. I added it in as the most powerful SMG, but yes there are a few higher damage code weapons. The way I tried to explain it was that before the weapon, B.E.T.A. couldn't be damaged and now he can. Although in these fights any weapon will now work on him as I haven't figured out a way to make it specifically one weapon that can hurt the cyborg. I didn't want to add a weapon that was going to be overkill for everything else it comes across. Even a rifle will use multiple rounds in an action based on what mode you are firing in. I preferred the idea of several rounds being fired at once so there is a better chance of hitting the thing. One round at a time has a higher chance of missing or being dodged completely. Having said that I will consider adding different weapon choices it. It may take a little while based on my free time at the moment. I appreciate the feedback. It is unfortunate that the editor doesn't always allow us to do everything we want. Just a matter of working around it sometimes. :cybereye:

Couldn't you do something like the bugs at the end of dead mans switch?

Thanks for the extensive response. It's strange that they wouldn't let you increase AP value, when some of the ingame guns have some small amount. So it goes.
