Just finished this run. Very impressed and wanted to say thank you for such a well made adventure. Keep up the good work or training someone and pass it on :) Trying the next series soon.

This UGC has a huge problem with not respecting your time as a player. And I don´t mean that the story is bad or anything; I actually rather enjoyed it, had a real 80s action movie feel to it, you know? However, the combat scenes are just so damn long and repetitive that it made me quit by the time of the B.E.T.A. facility run. Might as well have called it "Door Wars", because in my experience the majority of your time is spent kicking said piece of furniture down, getting blasted by half a dozen guys on overwatch on the other side, murdering them in various ways and repeating the process ad nauseam. Seriously, I have NEVER in any Shadowrun campaign had to personally kill so many fragging cardboard cutout mooks. So points for style, but less for execution.

strange bug, when i went to los angeles i was using ace instead of my character... i thought it was temporary but going on i still was locked on ace. There were also some dialogue bugs and strange behaviours...

I replayed the desert mission and on arriving in los angeles i was my created character with ace as a comapanion.

Cannot continue game without decker. No money to hire decker. If decker is required decker should be provided OR warning should be given that do not start mission if no decker. Fail. 1 star.

Oh, one thing I forgot to mention. I came across a few minor glitches. Nothing major, just things like a conversation not recognizing a boosted stat from cyberware, or a decking option not being available even though you have a hired runner on the team with the appropriate decking level. No big deal in the long run, just minor immersion breakers.

Great mod and great story! Personally, I like the slow build character over the course of a lengthy campaign. I also like the fact that you weren't stingy with the money and gear. Getting loot from locations as well as off of defeated foes was great. As a nascent shadowrunner, you're gooing to take income from any source. I also like the unique weapons and cyberware you put into the mod. My Troll Street Samurai is a serious bad ass now, lol. I played your original mods from Shadowrun Returns, and just discovered these updated versions. Looking forward to playing through the revamped Darkness Falls campaign again. Keep up the great work! :steamhappy:

Desert Wars was interesting. It was a unique experience being part of the military rather than a shadowrunner, and you get to be immedietly know about the Tir. Character remained memorable and story was intruiging. If I had 1 complaint it would be that your character is comepletely useless in the beginning. That might just be a consiquence of playing Chi Casters in general though. Good mod.

Well, this looks like the largest story I played so far, same goes to fighting. Random textures and pictures are also nice addition. No game braking bugs, however there are some issues from time to time. The story has surprises and was well worth the time, especially that it continues in darkness falls stories, at this point however I saw few better done stories. Still highly recommended.

Just loaded this UGC up for the first time. This may already be known, but I wanted to report a couple of issues I've already run into from the very beginning. When I exit the tent at the beginning and the game tries to initiate dialog/combat, everything froze for a very long time. I could see that battle was starting from how the movement area was highlighted, but there was no HUD and I couldn't actually move. I though the game was frozen and re-loaded my auto-save. The same happened again; but I left my computer sitting for about a minute or two and eventually dialog iniated, the HUD appeared, and combat commenced. Slow, but so far so good. Then my character was immediately killed before I even got a turn. That's fine (the party members all have gold trauma kits), but that's pretty early to die - balancing issues?

A problem I had in the beginning:
Don´t enter the heli transporter. First go to your base, enter the tent and THEN go to the heli.
I couldn´t interact with Mork and so was stuck in the transport.
Just to let you know.

P.S.: I like some run and gun runs here and there :) Thanks for the work.

I haven't received any game breaking bug updates so far. Just know that when you get to seattle not to go on the renraku side quest. It is currently not working properly from what I have heard.

Maybe I just bugged it out somehow, because the entire facility was in combat with me.
I mean, I'm still giving Desert Wars a thumbs up, but that one area felt really out of place amongst everything else. Every other piece of combat was relatively isolated compared to the Renraku facility.

I'll try re-downloading it from NexusMods to see if it works properly.

Your play style isn't something any content creator can control. I don't know what type of character anyone is going to play so the difficulty will vary based on that. I know I have played through it with a samurai, a shaman, a rigger, a decker and a mage with no issues in the past. However, things have broken since I last was able to go in to my editor for it. I'd happily look into it if I could, but that computer with all the files on it is long dead. I don't have a thousand dollars to drop on recovering my files off of it at this time which is what I was quoted and that doesn't even cover the new hard drive that it will need.

Half the stuff you say isn't even controlled by the editor it is HBS programming. I can't control overwatch and you are not in Hong Kong so combat pretty well stays on in enemy territory. Half damage isn't anything on my end they should be taking normal. The samurai were not modified except for removing some weaponry that would have made them over kill. This mission is an optional side quest so you can just ignore it if you want to continue with the main story. If something isn't providing cover that should be that is on HBS side not mine. You said the enemy stays in there room, but then say they come in from all over and swarm you. You contradict yourself. I'm sorry you didn't like that part. I'd go in and modify if I could, but I have already stated recently that I am no longer able to that. Nobody can make a mission that is going to be perfect for every player. Some people will find the enemies to be too easy while others get their butts handed to them.

Got to the Renraku factory or something. It was easily the most asinine area I have ever played in any Shadowrun campaign.

-Red Samurai all take half damage... And then they heal themselves.
-Things that should be cover are not- you're blocked off from getting behind desks, crates, etc.
-Every single room has enemies in it. Every single one. Most of which have 140 to 160 HP.
-All those enemies just hang out in their respective rooms with Overwatch on, so anyone who enters gets gibbed.
- YOU NEVER LEAVE COMBAT . If you didn't bring someone who can heal without medkits, you're screwed.
-The final room (as far as I could tell) had at least a dozen enemies in it, and they just swarm into whatever room you're occupying so you're eternally flanked. Spammed grenades and area damage but because all the red samurai take half damage, it barely scratched them.

My experience before this area was altogether pretty positive, but that run made me alt+F4 out and unsubscribe from this one.

Yeah I understood that. Like I said I think something broke because it used to work just fine and it only had the skill as a prerequisite. I would fix it if I could, but I no longer have any of my old files for it.

What I was saying was because I had no deck, I couldn't select the thing for that turret, that or I just couldn't select it since it keeps targeting the turret but I tried multiple times to mouse over the thing allowing to do stuff with the turret.

I think I just had it based on skill. It didn''t have a prerequisite of having anything other than that. I just played through it yesterday and couldn't do anything with it so I think something broke. Yeah I know nobody has a cyberdeck at that point. I just wanted those characters to be able to do something starting out.

I looked in equipment and no one had a deck for hacking at that point, I played a rigger and there was nothing I could do with it, I am referring to the turret next to the pile with the drone, not the pile with the drone.

They are actually for a rigger in case you play one as your main character. (Ace actually has decking and a datajack though) At least if I remember correctly that is how I set it up. My computer that I made this on is long dead. I wasn't able to recover any data off of it so I can not currently access my ugc for any of them that I made. It really sucks. I thought I had it all backed up on a flashdrive, but I am unable to locate it.

Here is a question, why is there an option for a decker to do something to the turret in the second mission, when none of the companions are deckers and you can't even get a deck at that point (unless the items you can get are related to your character's skills, in which case I should have a deck or a drone or both with my decker/rigger)?

Thanks for making this. Could you check the missions for solo players? I never hire runners and in some mission I have been talking to myself or have to rescue a teammate who is not there.

The game is great. But I get stuck every time at the escape scene. I have tried not opening the doors. And this is as of nov19 2016. I have tried over a half a dozen times.

I´m asking because in another game i burned all my essence in what i thought would be the end, just to find out more game later (with better ware i couldn´t get anymore...)

You are in serious need of an editor. Your dialogue and narrative read like lifeless walls of text because you don't use proper paragraph breaks, commas, or proper sentence structure. Every character has the same voice, and they often say things in one long, unbroken sentence that totally conflicts with the expected cadence of what they're trying to convey.

It's very difficult to stomach such writing, no matter the quality of the story that may lie beyond. I'm sorry to be so harsh when reviewing free content that obviously had a lot of work put into it, but I think you might not be aware of just how crucial to the experience of Shadowrun a proper grasp of english is.

I figured out how to overcome that bug - just don't open the doors (you can probably lock them and give keys to serg). And thanks for this one mod and others three two! Running along with Dirk Montgomery was neat. I read that books)

Hello! Got stuck at mountain base escape level. After dialogue with sergeant ends and smoke' em team! the enemies just don't move and don't do any action. I tried reloading\reseting\restarting but maybe not in first round but in second enemies just stop acting, and red dot showing turns just greyed out. Please help!

Sorry...After I rescue the 3 in the prison, I can escape throuth the first door. It's the 2nd one (where I'm in an elevator I guess? The tiny square room) where I cannot interact with the door. It isn't due to too many bodies blocking it either; I've ran to it by myself and couldn't open it.

Due to unrelated reasons (I just wanted to play as a character more like the one I play in the tabletop version), I restarted. Trapped Like Rats has a problem where I cannot open the door after freeing everyone. The icon pops up when I alt, but not when I hover my mouse over it.

Nevermind, I figured it out. Since the problem was triggering the mission completion, obviously the saved game wouldn't change. I simply reset the level (from the same saved game) and this time it worked perfectly with less than a minute of replay needed. Excellent resolution and again, quick response and turnaround time!

@Rokumen I just hit the same bug. No idea on the unsub resub approach, but a reload of a saved game didn't change anything. Actually, given that I subbed just recently, I doubt that unsub / resub will fix it.

@Molefixer, Something to note, the goals still indicate that I need to convince the elven princes of the issue, but conversation concluded with them, they assigned the paladin to assist me, they said to take whatever I could use from their stores (which are nowhere to be seen), and I can no longer talk to them. Runnig through the small map (interior space) holding the ALT button, nothing shows up at all as available to be interacted with.

Sorry, not sure where to put this so I'll put it here. When I reach the elven estate and talk to the princes, I cannot seem to get out. I've looked everywhere and there's no indication of anything I can interact with after talking to the two. Is anyone else having this problem? Should I just unsubscribe and subscribe to reload the content? Not sure what to do...

Yeah you are supposed to lose Ace early on. He explains that to you in the Albino Dragon pub. I'll have to look into Ace. The last few times I played through it the smg's weren't doing squat for damage. They probably have that fixed now causing him to be stronger than intended. Thanks for the report.
