as for vanilla weapons if i remember it correctly from the past they basically miss pathing relevant informations which are needed to intercept them with the shield, though take it with caution as i am no modder myself and i dont know if i remember that one fully correct years after the explanation.
only part i am sure i remember fully is that there is a bunch of informations missing in the vanilla system to have the shields work properly and after years of trying to get it to work the support for vanilla was dropped with the warfare 2 update.
anything wrong with mentioning anpal?
to my point of informations vanilla+ is just a weaponframeworkaddon for the vanilla weaponframework and thus lacks the same informations as that one that defense shields would need to function properly.
you could reach out to the vanilla+ devs in order for them to add the neccessary informations if possible which in turn would then make it compatible with defense shields.
