Not too sure if you are aware, but RE is actually an amalgam of two projects, Reforged Galaxy, and Project Eden, the two separate Devs got together and created Reforged Eden. The two missions sets are from that, as I understand it
RE2 I think, but the devs just added a new chapter to the vanilla missions.
Also, the RE2 missions are separate from the vanilla missions even though some are similar. So that main Updates don't break RE2 so often.
By the way, when you see two sets of missions (or more) in RE2, neither one of them is vanilla, all of them are different.
