Also you shouldn't have been able to mark it as complete, hmm I'll have to fix that.

I did post twice. I realized my reply in the other thread was probably misplaced, so I made a new one. Been a couple weeks since I did the mission but pretty sure I did all the steps before the derelict station, or I wouldn't have known to go there. At any rate, sounds like the missions end there anyway so I guess I am not missing out on anything. I have just been raiding POIs when today I just felt like there wasn't any real mission thread left in the game. Been warping around to endless systems for the survey quests (do these ever end? M1Ia and counting), Honored with Polaris, done a couple mining contracts for them. Have just been wondering what's next as there doesn't seem to be a clear progression line. Do I do the side mission next? The expeditions? IS there a long continuous questline to get on?

You can follow the expeditions, or you can just go out into the galaxy and become a mercenary!! It's entirely up to you. That's what being a sandbox game is all about. There are trader quests, there are hidden quests. But it's all up to you to explore. But a word first... Apart from the expeditions that you see in the PDA now, none of the trader quests, or side quests are recorded in the PDA, you will have to keep a track of those yourself. It's one of the quirks of the way the quest system works. For example - you go to a Polaris Manufacturing plant, before they start trading with you they want x amount of a particular item, you may not have it, it;s only available from a factory 40 light years away. No problem You accept the fetch quest. It's not recorded in the PDA. You need to remember which trader, in which system, and on what planet, and how many they wanted!

I was given a great idea I think by Ravien_ff and that was to keep a LCD screen just for such a thing you can just type in where and what you need for a mission. I keep one over a science station in my explorer ship
