Power consumption
Before the updates, I had several ships set up so that I could leave them with the power on, but using no fuel.

However, after the update, I'm finding their power usage to be significantly higher.
For a brief example - a ship that (in power saving mode) would use about -0.1 kw, but now (with the same devices powered off) it's using 7.3kw.

What's even more mystifying is that I can't find any actual devices using this much power.

Has there been a power usage rebalance and if so, which devices has it been applied to?

FYI I saw something similar. Ships using excessive power. It seemed to go away when I turned off / on the power using devices (thrusters, weapon) and then it seemed to return to normal usage. It seemed like weapons were the big draw. I did not try turning off the entire ship, but I'd be curious if that would do the same.

Thanks, I did look through the change log for anything on this, but found nothing.

As for the old 'turn it off and on again' approach, that was the first thing I did, but no luck.

I'll see if the problem persists and then perhaps post it on the bugs section of the main forums. Just wanted to see if it was an RE2 thing or not.

OK, this is what I discovered:

Sometimes if you dock to a CV or base, even with everything (except power) turned off, you'll still have some power drain (this is assuming you've used plasma turbines to make it so you don't consume power).

This is how to fix it:

While docked, turn off thrusters, weapons whatever. If your consumption is still higher than it should be; move the ship in all directions *with the thrusters off*. Check your power consumption again, it should now read the correct amount.

Yeh I noticed something similar previous update. All ships that were idling with negative power would run out of fuel when i log in and the ship hasn't been doing anything previously. I did go through and restart each ship and all the devices and that seemed to have fixed it.
