Empyrion - Galactic Survival

Reforged Eden 2 Beta
How to POI rules work on RE2?
I am relatively new to using RE2 and I have been wondering how do POI regeneration work on RE2. Do asteroids in orbit re-spawn/re-generate after x amount or time and or generally once I deplete a plate of ores how can I approach securing more resources?

I am playing with a very slow paced progression and resource node quantity in the RE2 scenario and I have depleted Talodar of everything but 2 nodes of Graphite and I was wondering if Orbit Asteroids would go the same way

Are you playing in single player or on a multiplayer host? In single player resources do not regenerate, neither do POI's. Once you've depleted them in single player they are just gone. An alternative method might be to get enough unlock points and resources to unlock and build the Autominers and place one on the resource you need to gather. Some resources don't accept Autominers on them, like Gold for instance. I believe the default setting for RE2 has Autominers not depleting resource nodes.

Single player, kinda the root cause of the quuestions after noticing the server I was playing with friends would regenerate POIs

Servers can turn poi regeneration on. They can also schedule deposit, poi, or full wipes of the starting planets. This doesn't happen in single player.

Ore meteors will begin to drop once you've mined out most of the deposits of a resource on a planet so you'll never run out of an ore.
Also you can mine surface ore rocks or just stone to convert into basic ores.
Asteroids in space will not replenish in single player.

You'll have plenty of resources on the starter planet to make a basic SV to get you to orbit and the moon to find more resources.

Awesome! thank you for the insight on the inner workings of RE2 Single-player, I would say there are plenty of resources on my hard play through if I am building functional over too fancy! great, and once again such a cool mod.
