If I try to use the spell, nothing happen.
Thanks for the report, it seems the dev changed the syntax for summon effects during Agriculture patch.
Updated the abilities (and pushed new mod version) to new syntax and tested it on new world, but for some reason it doesn't retroactively works for existing worlds :(
If you are asking for a geomancy trainer and they are still pointing you toward the geomancer-turned-rancher could you check the skills in geomancy for three geomancers and the rancher?
You can do that by going into knowledge tab in-game (the book icon on the top), and searching them by name, and clicking on 'skills' tab that should show the skill level of all the skills they know.
If the geomancers in temple have higher skill then our rancher, but 'ask for a teacher' is still pointing toward rancher, then this is vanilla bug (in which case, I be would grateful if you could hop on the game discord and upload the save to the bug I'll create). If they are less skilled then it's working as expected.
Basically the longer one npc works at specific job, the more skilled they get, so in cases where the rancher was a long-time geomancer, and the three geomancers at the temple were newcomers, she may have higher skills then them. But at the same time she could only have a skill of 21.
The skill ranges of npc are categorized by title, and they go by:
- Novice - 1-10
- Journeyman - 11-20
- Expert - 21-30
- Master - 31-40
- Grandmaster - 41-50
Hope it helps!
Perhaps should have skipped atleast 100... But i was too worried about performance seeing how long it takes to skip more and more time.
My tip for magic skills (works also with Pyromancy) is that I usually go with generation until I see the tier 3 settlements to spawn, then go to character creation to check if there is any Geomantic Halls build (you can go through families to check the buildings without comitting to character creation), and if they are, skip another 25 years or more so the teachers will actually get some skill.
