SERIOUS QUESTION: Have we hit the peak of Gmod mapping/modding? Can we further innovate or is this the peak, and the beginning of Gmod's modding decline?
I know I am repeating myself from the comments section, but still. Or am I overthinking this? This is amazing though. How does Gmod mapping move forward after this? How can the modding community innovate after this? Have we hit the peak and it's only downward from now on? This is the biggest we can ever get. In 2010, gm_bigcity was seen as the peak and thought to be the top rated Gmod map ever and would remain the top rated map forever. How times have changed! For better or worse? I guess that is subjective. What is objective is that Gmod is becoming more and more advanced and becoming more well known thanks to this.

personally i don't think so. just because someone creates the entire multiverse, (which is in fact insanely impressive) doesn't mean everyone has to stop making new maps. There will always be new ideas to make, and i think it would be nice to stop focusing on the size of maps, and more into making adventure maps with stories to tell and maps that just look aesthetically pleasing.

Regardless of the popularity this map got (don't really know why), this map is actually quite simple, was done in less than a day.
It has been only a way to exploit Source Engine beyond its limits, and for that, it would have been impossible without Mee's Infmap Base which is the real miracle here.

New, detailed, and great maps will keep coming, much more detailed and original than the multiverse one. This has only been something nobody thought possible at all but I gave it a chance anyways out of my free time because I like burning computers' RAM slots in the most original way.

That is all. It's not my fault Youtubers, PC gamer, and basically every gaming news site made a big deal out of it. Remember, this would not be possible without Mee's Infmap Base which is the real deal here.

With more optimization, these maps can only get more details and more expansive. Just takes more effort from the community to discover new things about the Hammer Editor and Source Engine.

@RegretfulCurve this has nothing to do with Hammer editor, again, this is possible because of Mee's Infmap Base's obj loader

Most importantly, this is all done in Source. Things will be really interesting once this is done in Source 2.

i believe that it will get better as i can imagine someone trying to run gmod on a mobile device, in a couple years maybe this will run on a smartphone new tools are needed to achieve new horizons.
