Some items are only craftable at the non automatic craftbot "workbench".
Its the second one you build after the scrap bench.

This definitely lets you BUILD a resource collector along with other things like refiner & the smelter which I was trying to find for a while but only seems to be at that manual bench.

at least they aren't gifting that sort of tech if it isn't meant

True! That's also why i'm asking if it's an issue or is just intended, which is that because you would be able to stack a lot of refinery bots and assemblers and that seems too op
