Stuck on "The Antenna" mission on the "Place the Master Battery" step

I am stuck because I placed the battery before I connected the battery socket to the control unit. Now that I've connected it the mission goes from the "Place down the power and control unit and connect them" step to the "Place the master battery" step but the battery is already in the socket and I can't remove it.

un connect the battery to the control panel, then it will let you remove the battery socket reclaiming the battery for later correct usage, learned this the hard way.
