Ok, so I have some bugs I've noticed while playing as the Northmen which are loccated in Scandinavia...first off...I found playing as them I can exploit tech. because they are considered natives and or have a native form of government....but are westerns...so I can just wait till I fill up the three groups of native tech. trees and get the -100% tech. cost.....plus being western and just the fact that the Norse religion is the same as Budda which gives you the ability to choose your deity. To get to the fact it costed me 30 points to get all three (Normal Tech.) groups. Now I shouldn't be complaing because hey.....30 points is dirt cheap but then I discovered that every one else was advancing along just fine alongside me.....just a tad slower but still could catch up to me in 2-4 years time....so I first thought it may be because they also had a Government type like me....and were getting the same bonus of cheap tech but relizing this was not the case and being lazy and not wanting to look at everyones governments. Even the Nomad tech. groups were moving along very fast and even somtimes going past Muslim tech. groups which was very odd. Somthing is definitily buggy about the tech. and as the Northmen I had a huge advantage with technolgy so what I reccomend is a new tech. group maybe like North, Scandinavian, Viking, Norse/Nord and also make sure you don't make western contries a native council.
Colonizing:
So while time went by I noticed that my Muslim neighbor to the south (of Northmen) started to gobble up a lot of land in very little time and not only them but alot of other nations too and they didn't have the tech for it yet....so this was peculier in many ways...but one big bug was the Prussian region of Teuton because one......they somehow turned Protestent which might have killed the game as just vanished sort of....and that brings up the intresting fact that they just decided to become colonizible land.....but it was weird because when I got a mission to colinize a province *Note: I got a colonist from the idea(s) group* that they had owned I instanly gained the province when my colonist arrived but to my dismay I saw that the capital of the Teutons still had a army of 4 and 1 ship in the province but had the Black/red flag as their emblem....I then proceeded to try and colonize the province as well...hoping it would remove these "Ghost units" but instead crashed my game on completion.
Other notes:
Western+Native Gov.= No buildings :(
I converted a province in the aim to start converting Scandinavia to Norse....but once the hard work was done and my coffers were empty and me in debt.....I decided it would be a good idea to migrate to another province.....this made the previous province convert back to Catholic.....now Idk if this is also in normal Europa or if its just a bug with this mod or the Norse religion in game....but I was quite peeved never the less.
My ending note:
I have to say that even though their were some bugs I enjoyed the the gameplay and new feeling of this mod and I hope my report helps. I wish you good luck on this mod and I look foward to its advancements. I do however propose that have the Holy Roman Empire exist somehow and the papal be um....alive or restorable....because the Cathiolics main bonus is their ability to become the papal controller and have the HRE exist in some country or countries could add to the story (Europe's little bit of hope???) and maybe bring back some...European countries....maybe like one per area like France, England, Ireland, Spain, etc. and yes I know their are some "Surviors" of the plauge but I think they have to much to expand to or will be murdered by the muslims who have just suddenly appeared in random places of Europe....(Only thing that bugs me about this mod is that their are muslims in places where they can't reach.....which I want to see them acutally start out from the African/Ottoman areas and spread not them already there...) Well that's it for now but I will continue to play the mod and see if their are any other details that need tweaking and I hope I can contribute to the progress of this mod.
