if someone actually wants to play this like I did, if you bring back the version then it works, or at least I hope but the map is on the screen at least and it hasn't crashed yet

The christian nations seem to be gimped compared to their neighbors, to the point where i would call them borderline unplayable. Also the whole papacy bugs out seemingly.

I cannot move anywhere as a Settler government type. It doesn't give me the Native American migration tool. Why is this?

Strategy tip: kill or vassalize all the opm asap before they start colonizing too much. Prevent the bigger muslim nations from colonizing Europe. This is how you keep Europe for yourself, and win the game, easy!

Ok,i'm not a really good modder,though i can try and help you get rid of the "extra provinces" that are assigned to vanilla nations.

-first,go in the game directory,then go to "history/provinces"
-use the search option to find the province e.g. type {whatever province you are looking for, e.g. Brandenburg} in search.
-copy that txt file to your desktop
-open it and delete the "owner=BRA{or whatever country tag line} and controller=BRA{or whatever country tag line}
-at the bottom delete the history of the province{who owns it and when}e.g.

1444.11.1 owner=MKL< DELETE ALL THESE TYPES OF LINES{just an example
1446.12.7 owner=POL< DELETE ALL THESE TYPES OF LINES{just an example
1512.8.4 owner=BRA< DELETE ALL THESE TYPES OF LINES{just an example
etc.

-move this modified file to the mod's history/provinces folder.

I am currently reading The Years of Rice and Salt and this mod really made my day. However a new version might be in order: new patches brought more provinces in Bohemia, Hungary, Lithuania and Russia, so these states are still alive (and its odd).

Great work, looking forward to more!

@Lantians loosely based on the premise of Kim Stanley Robinson's The Years of Rice and Salt which had Europe wiped out by the Black Death, the dominance of Middle Eastern and Asian powers as well as Islamic and Buddhisat cultural traditions becoming dominant.
