Staying trasnports update (written on Sept, 5. 2023)
I am finally able to announce that with the next update, among other things transports will now have the ability to "evacuate" the battlefield.

NO MORE "STAYING TRANSPORTS" CLUTTER!

You will be able to choose what transports you want to leave to use them during the battle now and which you want gone. :steamhappy:

I will try to enable it for the AI but can't make any promisses yet. But at least now you won't have problems with your transports :))

Your mod is great and I enjoy playing it.
Some battles are pretty long, but has the logic you said too.
About the transports it is a really good idea.
May I ask where did you change a file to make them not dissapear?

I have a suggestion. I liked the idea with cars, I realized in my own way the capabilities of motor transport, as an evacuation, as a redeployment of artillery. It's a great idea that the transport can take the same artillery to another location, before the enemy's counter-battery fire returns. But there are a couple of unpleasant moments. It is usually very difficult to remove heavy artillery from the battlefield. Personally, with complex AI, it’s very difficult for me; he opens fire when my artillery hasn’t even fired yet. I can’t say that I’m waiting in one place, I change my position even when I haven’t finished shooting yet(which greatly reduces the effectiveness of artillery), but it’s already flying at me. As a result, the loaded vehicles disengage due to artillery shelling, everyone is in panic, in some places a truck is blown up, in general there is no redeployment. With mortars everything is easier, of course.
II would like to play in such a way that I have time to react, and not in such a way that I set time records. I think a lot of people would agree with me. I would like a little more relaxed gameplay. Naturally, this does not relieve the task of keeping track of everything on the map. There are two suggestions here: either make the machines panic less, where there will be a larger limit before unloading, or make them not unload the contents due to panic (but then this may affect all machines). Or make the AI ​​start firing after at least 60-90 seconds. It is possible to change the speed of heavy artillery or speed up the loading animation. So far that's all I can think of. Perhaps this could improve the gameplay and player experience of the mod

I understand what you are saying, artillery overhaul is the first next thing i'll be doing so i'll be looking into this problem too :steamhappy:
