Max Wage Update is out!
Proud Victorians, Hear ye, Hear ye yet again!

Today, Her Majesty has exhibited an act of goodwill unheard-of ever before! The Shadow Cabinet's long time pledge of addressing Lower Strata folks by re-evaluating their pennies and dimes came to Her notice and a miracle happened. Our most gracious Sovereign decreed that every pound that a working man or a lady earns would be from now accounted for and monitored scrupulously. As a result, hear and rejoice at the newest lavishnesses granted to our loyal citizens!

  • Market was augmented with a new mode - Max base wage! Akin to Productivity mode, it allows to monitor every related Building but with regard to the maximum wage they can feasibly support. Now all industries - those with high productivity but alas high demands of the qualifications, and those vice versa can be kept on watch on the same grounds - by tracking the lowest wage they can pay, which is usually to our Laborers. By ensuring it is above a certain threshold we can now overproduce much more and still keep our Lower Strata happy! In addition, those new important values were of course added to the tooltips of the respective Goods.
  • As requested by our more distant Dominions two very important filters appeared in the Map List. The first one allows to exclude the colonies, that can still build those rare resource Buildings, so that we don't accidentally use the precious workforce there for something else. And the second one allows the opposite - to include only the colonies that have Buildings that are not of those rare resources, so we can find the errors made by previous indigenous chieftains and replace them with proper plantations and mines.
  • As the Empire reaches the highest prosperity levels, the time has come to allow including more predictions to the Goods balance prognosis if deemed needed. By Shift+Clicking on the Not Hiring or Mobilization Balance they will now be accounted for in the total prognosis calculation.
  • Finally, the new Max base wage mode was of course included in the Map List! Same important values like Max base wage and it's prognosis or the Current base wage can be monitored there from now on as well. Oh, and in the same fashion to the Market balance inclusions, the Shift+Click on the Not Hiring and Labor Auto there adds them to the Labor prognosis!

For our Middle Strata citizens, these additional peculiarities were included:
  • Enough infrastructure filter was added to the Map List, so we can exclude States not equipped to constructing the industries in question. And of course, it also works with prognosis.
  • Other filters were added there as well. The coastal/non-coastal State filter is for excluding those which are later deemed to be Royal Navy's homes. And the economy of scale cap filter excludes States which already reached the throughput cap of this Building, so we do not waste any efficiencies there.
  • Also, a new sorting by balance button appeared in the Map List to quickly find the most financially fragile Buildings (or otherwise!). Consequently, current balance filters (and the red glow if negative) were moved to this new button.
  • As the regulation panels grow in complexity, the new Settings view has been added to the top bar. By hovering over it a button appears and a new panel can be accessed. Previous toggles of Unemployment and Legitimacy Alerts were moved there, but most importantly new settings can now be chosen which control the frequency of examining the construction queue. And by default when the time flows the queue is now polled much less often, so as a result the weekly progression performance is significantly increased!

Our destitute Laborers and Farmers were rewarded with Her Majesty glance anew. Here are some little delights they were permitted this time.
  • Red outline was added to Market productivity prognosis if any related Building's balance is predicted to be negative.
  • Not at resource cap filter in Map List was upgraded to work with zero cap States.
  • Labor filter in Map List now uses number of Buildings instead of raw number of people.
  • The ability to overwrite preset in the Map List was added - Ctrl+Click on its delete button.
  • Labor prognosis was substituted with Hire delta in the Next hire Alert.
  • Labor sort button in the Map List was expanded at the expense of next hire delta button (it's sorting was moved to Ctrl+Click of labor button).
  • Visibility of both active filters on same button was added where those are possible.
  • Buildings list in custom buildings filter (in Map List) is now conveniently ordered as in lenses.
  • Balance in Market now has its icon!

Bear ye well these truths in mind and through your efforts help spread this gladness!

Neither my product balance or infra balance is working. The number just doesn't change. Is it a compatible issue? Or I am the only one who faces this issue?

I'd start with these possibilities at first:
1) Do you have any other mods activated? For example, if the topbar is overwritten by other mod, a lot of things won't work.
2) Are you on 1.5 beta? It is not supported.

1) No, only activated essential ui.
2) I am on 1.4.2
BTW, the reason I am asking is this mod is so great that I can't play without balance, LOL.

When I switch game language from Chinese_simple to English, the balance works.
When switch back to Chinese_simple, it doesn't work.
Weird.

Oh, did you install the separate mod for Chinese translation of EUI? Because I think it has not been updated yet to support Max Wage.
But if you say EUI is the only mod active, then it's really weird...

BTW, if I install and active the Chinese EUI only, the game acts like no mod activated at all. Totally original UI.

Yeah, thats ok, that mod is translation only, so it requires EUI

So, the short answer is that you played in an unsupported language.
I've uploaded a fix that will at least make crucial things work in unsupported languages, but still, i wonder - how do you play? :) I mean, all the tooltips and texts to do not work, etc.

I decided to play in English for now. I can read but not as efficient as in Chinese after all. LOL

Just found out your latest fix makes the balance work under Chinese. LOL
