I can't build xyz...
If you, like me, got stuck after downloading this mod (in my case to an active save) and couldn't find your item in the build menu, this short info-dump is for you.

Certain mods (including this one) make use of arrows next to the build menu item which they relate to. This seems particularly prevalent for mods with researches that impact the same build item.

In my case, I was trying to build a well. I tried importing, load order management, investigated FCS, mod compatibility checking and so on, non of these were the issue. The issue, my dear friends, was user error.

I have another mod (advanced training) which exclusively uses this feature. I managed to figure out the trick there fairly quickly, as once I stol... ehem... "obtained" the blueprints for the tech, only the one advanced training option appeared in the bottom left corner build menu, although that tech unlocked at least 4 training dummies. When selecting it, a dummy image popped up in the more central pane- and around the name of the constructable appeared a set of arrows, left and right. Clicking these cycles the constructable with variants.

TLDR:
Brief user manual: Complete research > Select basic buildable (let's say a well, as it's default unlocked, or one of the first you need) > move from small bottom left pane to larger central pane, and locate name of buildable > select left or right arrow bracketing name to cycle variant buildings.

Of note: I am not using any UI mods. If you are, this little tidbit might not help much.

nato187, this seems like a great mod, keep up the good work. Might want to give folks a heads up about this, not sure this feature sees much use in vanilla kenshi, or if so I never noticed it. I never would have figured this out were it not for the experience with advanced training.

Thanks Eran, cycling through building options is not well explained in the game. I got stuck on that before too.

I might rethink the research and building menus for better visibility but prefer to keep things vanilla as possible.
