Mount & Blade: Warband

The Last Days of the Third Age
Some suggestions for future updates
I plan to make a list with some suggestions and update it as necessary.

1) Destroy enemy scout camp should be updated - there are few issues with this quest:
a) scene:
- the camp is an absolute nightmare for the AI path finding(i know it's a native "mechanic", but here it's esp bad). AI will get stuck at the items and if you're dead, the only way is to leave and loose the quest. Just had 3 of my troops stuck between 1st and 2nd tent(i was dead) trying to kill the last 1 remaining enemy - no matter what commands i gave them, they weren't able to get unstuck from there and the enemy can't reach them although they were 3-4 m apart.
- many of the props there have invisible aura - like the shields that are able to catch arrows outside of their physical form. Arrows get stuck in the air 1m above/around many of the items there - again native issue but the props here make it worse.
Solution would be either bigger camp or less props for its' current size.
b) gameplay - when you enter the scene your party isn't composed based on your troop arrangement, but at random. Ex. just placed my best fighter companion just below myself and my doctor at the bottom of the list with ~100 orcs between them(best on top). When we spawned my doctor was in the scene while my fighter wasn't and there were many non elite orcs along with some elites.

This with the fact that the quest spawns more enemies than allows friendly troops, leads to very annoying need to cheese this quest if you're playing as pure orc faction. Ex. I went to my barracks and left all but elite moria chieftans(best orc inf in game) so i remove the random party spawning, attacked at night(for orc bonus) and charged with my elite group(11 chieftans + myself) - all died before killing even half of the 16 elves there, so every time i do this quest now i have to dance around for a few minutes until all elves are out of ammo to have a chance of winning with most elites dead in the end again.

2) items - i haven't played the new updates with good factions, since i don't like playing with humans and elves & dwarves were very easy and decimating everything last time i've tried them, but orc/uruk items doesn't make any sense - ex. best orc 1h weapon - orc scimitar/orc great scim that starts to appear in the game later can't even compare to the cheap rhun's savage sword that you can get from day 1. Also armors - mordor light armor vs isen light armor - same def ratings but 1st weights 14 vs 6 for the 2nd O.O or gundabad heavy armor vs moria heavy armor, etc...
I get it orcs must have inferior weapons & armor, but descr of moria orcs says they have better equipment, which isn't true in game with the exception for their heaviest armor that has 3 pts more def than the 2nd best, but weights 30 kg and kills the only thing they have - good athletics/movement speed. Not to mention the rest of the moria armors are redundant, since any other orc armor is lighter and has same def stats.

I want to play an orc with pure orc equipment, but there is no point in using orc weapons at all and it would have been the same with armor, if it weren't for the restriction, although you can still use other helmets which are again much better - even the uruk ones are better which doesn't make any sense since they're using the same smiths....and on smiths topic - how the evil men(esp in mordor) get their better equipment - very decent swords, shileds & armor?

Orc weapons are heavy, short, slow and with low dmg - absolutely no plus in anything and this is on top that their stats are gimped(even with night buff) and their best armor is much weaker(~35%) than the best human armors(not going to mention elven or dwarven at all).

IMO there should be at least some items with a plus, so the player have incentive to use them in a more themed rp play through - esp for moria orcs, since they're advertised as better equipped and are already facing the top 2 good factions - Imladris & Loth with just orcs and the occasional troll that dies before even reaching the enemy lines due to the elven AP machine gunners.

To be continued...:)

3) scouts - currently the only thing scouts do is able to engage some weaker enemies and for you to join in, but this is rare and only for limited small size parties.
I propose to give them a real scout meaning - when you meet up with a scout party, you can have the option to ask for intelligence - f.e. 1 influence cost to give you one of the following:
- have your party spotting set to max lvl for certain amount - 1 day f.e. Should be fairly easy to implement with similar mechanic to the night buff orcs get.
- have the map(or part of it if possible) uncovered for a limited time - same as the ctr+t cheat, but if it's possible to do for a limited area, if not for very short amount of time for the whole map

This way you get a real scout parties that can help a lot with some of the quests - esp kill x groups or troops f.e.
