For the mod you're asking about, it's entirely an Optional mod I felt was more thematic considering things like Rebirth. It's to give New/Veteran Players an alternative means to gain Strength in Rebirth (and other Slave Camps) as that tends to be the limiting factor in that early survival phase of escape.
I mainly wanted to include it (although optional, due to it changing various core mechanics such as Machinery being the only way to increase the Laboring skill with the mod) so there's alternative means of STR Training that don't involve slightly Roleplay/Immersion Breaking things like carrying 10 Shackles to power level it lol.
I'd say *Most* of the optional mods fall into this category of Intended Design, but wanted to make it easier to disable should people want a balance between Vanilla/This Collection.
I'm very glad you're enjoying the collection though, thank you for the kind words bro 🙏 It's definitely been an experience learning the modding tools, working with dozens of other modders on Discord/these Discussions Threads and thousands of comments of feedback.
Have fun!
Thank you again
It does change how your initial New Game (or capture) plays out pretty substantially, assuming you pick the various Rebirth Start, as you can focus on your core tasks: Getting food, planning an escape. That's it. lol
I made a few to increase the difficulty, ie. the Solo Skeleton Start, which means you need a nearly perfect escape plan because any failure is certain death, as none of the guards have Robotics Kits (they're illegal in the Holy Nation
Feel free to provide feedback if you have any!
