Hey bro I don't know what happened but until 2 days ago your mod worked perfectly on every truck in the SCS base game but since the update you made the cab moves almost the same as the default SCS settings, (if you have some free time) it would be good if you try it on a Cascadia or LT, you really don't see the damping effect as before, however on trucks that don't have cab suspension your mod looks great, use the settings you recommend and you don't notice the mod, lower the cab and chassis suspension to zero and it doesn't move either, it looks like the SCS settings, thanks for reading this comment.

Hi !

I'll use the late settings I had for the US trucks before v1.30 in the next Update. There's not really much room for customization, though. You have more room to play with the settings for the EU trucks .. :D

And also i dont know exactly if SCS maybe changed some trucks. The physic file is working for all trucks the same time...hard to find a sweet spot.

PS: v1.32 is out. Looks good so far in my opinion.

hello again and thanks for replying, I tried again a few hours ago the mod on all the trucks, trying different stiffness settings and the truth is that I really liked the effect your mod had until 3 or 4 days ago, anyway thank you very much.

Perhaps you could add a little more flywheel weight so it doesn’t rev so fast when blipping the throttle to downshift when floating gears.

Hi !

Well yeah i will test that. Have you edited that by yourself and maybe already have a good value for that ?

Thanks for this specific feedback :)

I have not tried to change it. Is the value in the file measured in grams? If I knew what the value meant I would be glad to help test it.

In gramms ? no lol :D

The part in the physics.ini of my mod looks like this:

# intensity of engine braking (not motor brake)
thrust_characteristic_viscosity_factor: 1
# transmission resistance
transmission_viscosity_factor: 1
# retarder resistance
transmission_viscosity_retarder_factor: 1
# rotational wheel resistance
wheel_viscosity_factor: 1
# clutch strength
clutch_viscosity_factor: 0
clutch_connected_viscosity_factor: 2
manual_clutch_viscosity_factor: 0
manual_clutch_connected_viscosity_factor: 2
# torque converter strength
torque_converter_viscosity_factor: 0.2
torque_converter_locked_viscosity_factor: 2
# relative magnitude of flywheel inertia
inertia_scaling_const: 1.5
# transmission inertia relative to the flywheel
transmission_rel_flywheel_inertia: 0.5

The physics are so basic that the values are influence each other. Its totally crap in my opinion.

There is no "magic" or whatever people always think :D

PS: The last two values are mainly for the flywheel...as you can see. But when the values are too high... the truck brakes too much itself. There is no enough room to play with, if you know what i mean.

Lol I see now. It's been a while since I looked at it. Got ya.. that makes sense. Did you alter it recently because I noticed that last few times I've played the engine definitely requires more throttle to get the revs up when downshifting.

Yes i did... to be short.
