I'll use the late settings I had for the US trucks before v1.30 in the next Update. There's not really much room for customization, though. You have more room to play with the settings for the EU trucks .. :D
And also i dont know exactly if SCS maybe changed some trucks. The physic file is working for all trucks the same time...hard to find a sweet spot.
PS: v1.32 is out. Looks good so far in my opinion.
maxx
Well yeah i will test that. Have you edited that by yourself and maybe already have a good value for that ?
Thanks for this specific feedback :)
In gramms ? no lol :D
The part in the physics.ini of my mod looks like this:
# intensity of engine braking (not motor brake)
thrust_characteristic_viscosity_factor: 1
# transmission resistance
transmission_viscosity_factor: 1
# retarder resistance
transmission_viscosity_retarder_factor: 1
# rotational wheel resistance
wheel_viscosity_factor: 1
# clutch strength
clutch_viscosity_factor: 0
clutch_connected_viscosity_factor: 2
manual_clutch_viscosity_factor: 0
manual_clutch_connected_viscosity_factor: 2
# torque converter strength
torque_converter_viscosity_factor: 0.2
torque_converter_locked_viscosity_factor: 2
# relative magnitude of flywheel inertia
inertia_scaling_const: 1.5
# transmission inertia relative to the flywheel
transmission_rel_flywheel_inertia: 0.5
The physics are so basic that the values are influence each other. Its totally crap in my opinion.
There is no "magic" or whatever people always think :D
PS: The last two values are mainly for the flywheel...as you can see. But when the values are too high... the truck brakes too much itself. There is no enough room to play with, if you know what i mean.
