Currently known issues:
  • Expanded Stellaris Traditions contains a bug where leaders can spawn with a trait given by the academy tree which gives +50% archaeology dig speed, the icon and name is also bugged called "leader_trait_archaeologist_ancrel_est_2 II", this is a problem within the mod and needs to be updated by the author.
  • Starbase icons bugged in galaxy map and outliner
  • The Great Mistake Origin sky domes on home planet at game start disappear after 1 month
  • Major frame rate drops when opening up leader menu/recruiting leaders

The game should not crash on startup, make sure you have all mods downloaded before launching. You may have to click subscribe to all a couple times. Steam workshop items also may not want to update automatically, so you can unsubscribe from all and then resubscribe to all to make sure you have the most recent version of the mods.

For me sometimes it says Stellaris has stopped responded when loading up to the menu screen, just wait for the program to respond and eventually you should get to the menu.

It crashes once you start to load in the game
the supernova mod caused a ctd for me, reported it to the mod author and they're looking into it

What mod is it that causes archaeology and megastructure sites to be circles that flash around the border? I'm trying to disable that because it's distracting and it also clips out of the shape that it's supposed to stay in.

Also, when I assign a leader a new trait it lags heavily on the screen where you see all the leader options and when I've made the choice the notification that a trait was gained is an empty circle.

This happens with base modlist, and I tried changing the blue UI due to preference, a box on the left of the screen that wouldn't go away, and the watermark in the bottom middle of the screen that eternally reminds you what UI mod you have active.

Immersive Beautiful Stellaris includes Simplified Map UI which changes all of the galaxy map icons and adds some animations to those icons. For me those icons just have white phase animation. You can see what it is supposed to look like on the 13th image of that mod page with the enclave icon. I don't see a way to remove that animation for those icons. You should be able to replace IBS with Immersive Beautiful Universe and the icons will become vanilla again if you want.

The leader menu problem is a known issue and it has to do with UI Overhaul Leaders. According to that author the problem is caused by all the leaders having animations which they have disabled with that mod. Some other mod must be conflicting with that fix, reverting leaders to have animations again I believe. I am still trying to figure that out.

Unfortunately it seems I don't see a way to remove the watermark from dark blue UI, I personally don't find it that distracting. I assume the box on the left you are talking about is the express contact button. Once you establish contact with enclaves, it lets you contact them more easily without having to go through your contacts menu. Also cannot be removed I believe.

Missing Ship Designer (solved)
After changing UI scaling from 1.3x to 1.0x (as the very bottom and right of the panel were cut off), the missing elements were revealed.
One of these mods heavily alters how the Designer looks - I had thought it was simply not loaded in properly.

ran into an issue with the chosen one start : leader starts at age 2200 which causes his heir to spawn in ages 2100 ish and instantly die because the heir does not have the longer lifespan causing the game to get flooded with messages of new heirs and them dying 3 days later

Sometimes they do spawn in correctly which fixes the bug on it's own

hi there supper excited to play this, but having an issue when launching where creating a new robot empire causes you to start with ~14 leaders all but 3 of which are invisible
Interestingly after loading all your mods and importing the load order it seems to run fine, with the exception that there are 0 other species in existence beyond my one custom species and a singular human species. There are no other pre-made species anymore, and after about an hour or two in a game it appears there are 0 other species present at all beyond the generic space whales and various wildlife
