New Unit Ideas
Mystic:

Eldritch Knight - Skirmisher unit, half melee with whatever and an ability to cast a damaging spell.

High:

Crusader - Warcraft 3 Paladin-like dude with a hammer and Zeal or Faith spell.

Dark:

1. Coven Witch (or whatever) - unit with a moderate heal spell, which at the same time poisons the targeted ally (could be called something cool, like "Dark Pact" or whatever).
2. Minion (or Slave, idk) - a very weak, very cheap and fast on the tactical map unit, basically cannon fodder to entangle enemies with.

Feudal:

Hunting Hound - cheap and fast unit, similar to Minion, but animal.

Barbarian:

Clansman (or any other fitting name) - Barbarian version of the Peasant Pikeman, but without an upgrade. Maybe just a little stronger. No idea why Barbarians in this game do not use the simplest in production weapon ever.

I'd like to see the hound be a wolf for the barbs instead with packmaster or pack bonuses, maybe have a non tome version of the hound master for feudal. Feudal going chaos is slightly at odds with the lore.

For barbarian tier 4 Warlord or Warchief, who can summon tier 1-2 units, and have a nice AOW melee attack :)

Maybe not hound? There is already hound master, But what about Recruiter, who would be support and summon pikemen.

I feel like something needs to happen to keep Fedual as the ideal calvary Empire, since there's very little diversity for calvary. Maybe Mounted Yeoman (archers,) or another tier 3 Calvary unit that flies banners- like mounted bannermen? (Similar to Joan of Arc's retinue)

Maybe- Maybe a beast mounted unit, like Hippogryph knights.

Feudal cultures were just so overly proud of their mounted units that it feels strange (to me) to have their new "best" unit as footmen with zweihanders.

Remember, we'll almost certainly get this once the technology DLC comes out. It could end up being redundant!

Look into the unique weapons items and draw some abilities on these items into the higher tier units so they stand out with their own unique abilities. So far though, all the new units designs are so good thank you.

Having a stun on the shieldbreaker would be pretty cool though. Would fit thematically as he is holding a huge 2-handed hammer.

Is it possible to remove mount from awakener if special mount is chosen as trait. Since High culture have mounted unit with the mod? awakener can use her legs, not about balance more about style. Battle mages on mount are looking a little bit dumb.

Hoplite unit for Industrious culture, a shielded polearm unit with Shield Wall, Heavy Shield, First Strike and Watchful (+1 retaliation attacks)
Probably tier 3 or 4, you could use the helmet with the crest on it
