RACIAL UNITS POINTS OF INTREST
Almost all pre existing racial and class units have changed more or less. Not all races are good at everything.Some dont have flying units,some lack good archers,or cavalry,have strong pikemen,some others strong infantry etc.Below is an analysis / descprition for racial and class units points of intrest.
---------------------------------ELFS----------------------------------------------------------------
GLAIVE MASTER :Barracks T2..Quite decent defensive infantry that usually holds front line.His double edged glaive swords cuts deeply through armor causing deep wounds.Hes a defender with low dmg generally,gets better for first strike hits which he possess,via opening strike ability. Has very good defensive values for T2.
NOBLE ARCHER: Racial T3 Building .Very strong archer ,his arrows pierce armor,and throught training can also cause bleeeding,even slow them down.His elven armor and training ,grants him better protection when enemies approach him, compared to other archers.
NOLDRIEN: Grand Palace T3: Noldrien or Noldor warriors ,usually hailing from the most noble elven families,are a skillfull offensive and defensive infantry.Skillfull at their swords posess the ability of Greatersword Waving hitting 1-2 opponents next to him and then enter guard stance.Usually charge with their 2handed elven scimitars,after they fire some arrows with their bows.Quite descent in archery skills,can help in sieges or in guerilla warfare, but facing opponents in the front lines is their thing.When trained they can inflict bleeding wounds,they improve thei defences with martial arts ability,and gain the true aim ability having chance to stun their opponents with their ranged attacks.

RAGER:Barracks T2: Aggresive fella with 2 onehanded axes can break enemies guard.Evolves to Battlerager T3.
STEELGUARD: T2 Warhall: Very tough pikeman well armored with a big round shield,can assume defensive position with def strike. When well trained can bypass armor,cause bleeding and inflict taunt on his strikes with his poleaxe.
DEFENDER: Racial T3 Building: There was a saying in dwarvish "better hit a wall with your axe than a Dwarven Defender". One of the hardest infantry tanks that can be found in straightforward fights. His bulletproof plate armour protects well from arrows as well,having a big tower shield also that covers almost all his body behind.Has excellent defensive skills and starts with improved defender status (+30% def res bonus)to his already high defence. Average life pool and damage dealer can hold very well his position and his opponents, till more offensive allies come and finish them.Has low resistance and therefore vunrable to magic and effects.
FIRSTBORN: Grand palace T3: Quite strong offensive infantry can greately damage opponents no matter the armor they have,has a tendecy to saly dragons and giants,throught training can set opponents on fire with his fiery big hammer,even immobiling or stun them.
MINE LORD: Racial T4 :These demi Giant dwarven offsprings ,fighting with a big axe and shield,can overwhelm many strong opponents,bypass armor and cause heavy bleeding with his big axe.Can also use his shield for attacking purpose through training,cripple opponents,and gain strong will.

HORSEBOY:Barracks T2: Decent cheap cavalry,really hates sorties,having bonus vs gobs and other halflings, can sprint well and come from the back where you dont expect him.Through training can get charge bonus, can cripple opponents,and specialize hitting from the back.Good unit for support, decoy purposes.
ARDY FELLA:Warhall T2: Cheap pikeman,can be very effective vs cavalry'/mounted units via training.Also gets capable of taunting opponents and can cripple them.

KNIGHT:Racial T3: Humans have best cavalry in the realm,and Knights are its pinnacle.Strong sturdy, aggresive,with very strong devastating charge ,their notorious Lance strike can hit 2 opponents in a straight line ,famous for slaying dragons and monsters ,can learn to cripple,and become fearless at the end.
PIRATE: Racial T3: Scallywags and vagabonds,strong with a sword and a pistol in their hands,knowing how to fix their ship (handy trait for human galleys), can mock and taunt their enemies,having a tendecy to slay good guys,stab them in the back.Can learn throught their carreers how to finsh off effiency helpless enemies,and since they are gamblers, they rely on luck to avoid death.Can be very lethal at the end..especially with pistol.

WEREWOLF: Racial T3: Guardians of the frostlings,these bloodthirsty Gothic horror monsters, can hunt down a human with their predatory insticts tear him apart and devour his corpse to become stronger.Werewolfs can regenerate life in every turn. Should they become expirienced in the hunt ,their victims can suffer bleeding,they become stronger with their howl,faster,and can recover from wounds instantly in battle.

DAWN WARRIOR: Barracks T2: Quite good pikeman,doesnt relies on heavy armors,can weaken his enemies with heat, evolves to T3 Phoinix Warrior pikeman
BEHOLDER: Racial T3: Very hard opponents can be the beholders.These monsters have extremely high resistance to magic,have immunity to mind control effects, making them practically immune to magic means .One in order to kill it has to get close.They have strong chance to petrify enemies with their doom gaze,should they get more expirienced they can breat the spirit of their enemies even daze them,and their strong hits can cause even more damage.
SPHYNX: Ancient and crafty these beings are resistant to fire,can play with their opponents minds and cause them fear,they possess the true sight gift,and if they get expirienced they can make opponents run out of fear ,with their strikes,and begin to develop a tendecy for blood and gain also mind contro immunity.

RAPTOR RIDER:Warhall T2: Quite healthy in life pool terms,one of the few cavalry units in the realm wielding two blades.
HYDRA:Grand palace T3: These mythical monsters,are able to regenerate health,having many heads suits them in battle as they can bite more than possibly more than once on their attacks..You know..have many mouths to feed..If they survive long enough over time they can regrowth on battles,become tougher to kill and have chance to immobilize enemies.

GREATSWORDS:Racial T1: Can evolve to aowsm2 Orc Warlord T3 which is a unique uit that cant be produced otherwise.
SPIRIT HEALER: Barracks Racial T2: Can evolve to Aowsm2 Shman T3 (DeathShaman) which is a unique unit that cant be produced otherwise.
SHOCK TROOPER: RACIAL T3: These tireless warriors,can bread down enemies guard,overwhelm them and cause deep wounds with their big 2 handed axes.When they bocme very expirienced they are capable of do further dmg with their war cry,blood frenzy when killing something performing possible another attack,can stun their enemies and ultimately perform cleave attacks (attack 2 nearby enemies repeatedely).One of the stronger offensive infantry in the realm.Bit vunrable to magic and effects due to thie rather low resistance.
BULLWARK:Grand Palace T3: One of the most steardy and balanced infarty units.Can assume defensive position with defensive strike,arrows dont hurt him much,after training he specializes further into holding raged attacks, become tireless, and perform the sunder armor attack that reduces enemy defence by 2 on hit .
WARCHIEF: Racial T4: These tough orcish-wartroll hybrids go axe+shield in battles inflicting deep wounds on enemies,have phys prot (20%),can inspire nearby orcs with morale and resistance bonus,and when well trained,they have chance to immobilize enemies on strike,and when they hit hard....well they do it a little harder..

GOBLIN ARCHER:Racial T1: Can evolve to Arbalest,Arsonist,Poxmaster T2s ,or Hivegunner T3 .
GOBLIN INFANTRY: Racial T1: Can evolve to Goblin Guard a unique strong T2 greatsword infantry that cant produced otherwise.
MONGROL RIDER:Barracks Racial T2: Can evolve to Warg Rider T3 .
BUTCHER:Warhall Racial T2: The infamous goblin buther of horses and other mounts alike.When well trained he s tough to kill, can perform the halberd spin hitting all enemies around him lifestealing the heck out of them..
BLIGHT DOCTOR:Racial T3: Practically T2 with higher upkeep got promoted in ranks,capable of polluting enemies with weaken,possesing the rather unique ability of performing Plague bolt ,a blight bolt that can hit many targets that sit nearby,cure disease,quite resistant,when well trained can inflict exhasting fatigue,noxious vunrability,enffebling fever,and eventually can hit up to 3 nearby enemies with his staff strike and has chance to stun them. One of the most tricky and dangerous goblins someone can meet.
HOBGOBLIN BUTCHER: Grand Palace Tier 3:These monstrous big hobglins take great pleasure of torturing ,butchering and mutilating their enemies. One look at their Cleaver will convince you.They can cut hardest armor like butter,have greater life stealing than their small cousins.If they survive long term,they get lesser life regrowth,and well..they can cleave more than one enemy,and generally they are very unpleaseant to be around for their enemies.

ELVES - ELHONNA : Rain of arrows - shoots many arrows in an area damaging nearby enemies repeteadly
Ranged retaliate - Can retaliate attacks with her bow in close encounters
Infiltrator arrow - Fires an arrow and teleports there to escape unwanted close encounters
Aura of thorns - Damages nearby enemies with physical damage
Greater control Animal - same as control animal but stronger

DWARVES - MORADIN : Heavy blow - Devastating strike that deals lots of dmg to single target
Whirlwind strike , stuning blow - has chance on his strikes to stun enemies , Blind aura

HALFLINGS - CHILDREN OF THE FORREST : Magic Acorns - Throws acorns that explode in a 2 hex range dealing aoe phys+ fire dmg to all nearby enemies
Aura of vunrability - Gives enemies next to her + 20 % fire frost shock weakness
Faery fire - Bolts that deal dmg in all 3 elements of magic (fire +frost+shock)
Restoration - Applies minor regrowth (10% of health) to friendly units for 2 turns
Greater Turn Undead - Same as turn undead but stronger
Charm II - same as charm but stronger
Greater control animal - same as control animal but stronger
Lucky x2

HUMANS - VALKYRIE : Mighty Guard - Buffs all allied units with +1 res for 1 turn
Lance strike - Hits 2 enemies in a line with her lance
Valkyrie ability - Buffs herself for 1 turn with extra movement points + some phys dmg
Spirit Blast - Fires a strong bolt on a signle enemy

FROSTLINGS - LAUFEY : Frost vengeance - same as divine vengeance but deals frost instead of spirit dmg , Inflict frost paralysis , Frost shard , Dome Of Frost
Flash freeze - attempts to freeze an enemy from a distance , backstab
Dance Of Shadows - Deals massive dmg (has to be behind his enemy)

TIGRANS - ANUBIS : Tempus Fugit - Grants haste to all his allies and slows all enemies for 1 turn , Petrifying touch,Holy + Unholy Champion ,Phase,
Uncertainty ability - similar to aowsm grasp ,throws an enemy next him to a distance up to 5hex
Holy comet ability - Inflicts a strong fire +spirit blast to a single enemy from afar
Greater Turn undead

DRACONIANS - NEFARIAN : Supernova - tries to set all enmies in the battlefield on fire ( fire immolation) , Burning Breath - same as fire breath but stronger
Fearsome , Cleave ability

ORCS - SAURON : Eldritch Truth - Attempts to cast massive fear to all enemies in the battlefield , Aura of Misfortune reduces morale to nearby enemies, inflict despair ,exploit despair, dominate, uncertainty ability (grasp ), Physical protection (20%)
Plague Strike - melee strike that also hits nearby enemies to his target

GOBLINS BALLROG : Fire Slash ability - Hits enemies in a straight line with his whip dealing fire +phys dmg , Terrifying Roar - attempts to put fear in his enemies hearts with his roar,
Fire Aura - deals fire dmg to enemies that sit next to him

Like some of these but the valkyrie abilities sound incredibly weak, especially compared to Sauron and the Balrog. +1 resistance for one turn late game is such a weak ability it might as well not have it at all. Her other 1 turn only abilities and single target ranged strike also incredibly weak compared to Balrog and Sauron's abilities

Thnks for the comment Dunadd. Suffice to say it has been observed and noticed in various end game battles . The idea behind it was that it would buff 3-4 stacks of usually already strong stacks ,and in case you have 3-4 valkyries you would have +2-3 res
(if the buff instead of +1 was higher ) for 3-4 rounds ,if we suppose that each round a valkyrie would cast it ,which would impact alot the outcome of the battle if the buff was higher.
But the conclusion says you r right, it should be abiit higher and will change in next update. About Sauron mass fear,in 2 battles i happened to witness in 1 occasion no unit got feared ( perhaps a mistake that a friend used it when opponents were in guard stance) in another occasion 1 dragon and a stalker got feared out of 18 units, but depending what enemies you face,yeah it could be strong .
