Numerous landed titles under wrong liege or independent- MPE no MB+

These images are at game start with only the mods from the JSON enabled. Most of the map is fine, but large swathes of the byzantine empire are independent while the dejure kingdom and empire maps are a mess. This doesn't seem to be a common problem among other users, so I don't know where to start troubleshooting.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You have the game rule for only historical de_jure kingdoms on it looks like. There is some history stuff that needs to be cleaned up in byzantium, It's a side effect of the process of rebuilding the histories from TFE for the regular game.

Oh, so the independent duchies and dejure kingdom/empire bordergore is not a bug or load order issue on my end? I thought for sure somebody else would have mentioned it.

When I disable early bookmarks these issues disappear for me

Exactly...it;s the process of adding the histories in Early Bookmarks. Once I get everything updated, there will ikely be very little reason to use EB except if you want to start before 867.
