Phoenix Point

Terror from the Void (TFTV) 1.0
Suggestion: resilient humanity
If you have ever played the game until June or later you may have noticed that Anu is the only faction doing well while Syndrion and NJ withering away. The missionary centers are too powerful. I was thinking about a couple of fairly minor changes to remedy this:

1. Trading food to a haven will increase its food stock. I don't know the mechanics of it, but it is my understanding that a havens food stores impact population decline.
2. Missionary centers should offer a modest population boost to Anu that plateaus at some point. Perhaps their effectiveness could be reduced and also a cap on the amount that they can increase the have pop at which they stop working.

May I ask why you are playing the run for so long? What is your motivation to do so?

For reference: I usually play Legend. I like the early game (= first half of January) and mid game (= second half of January). In February the run gets boring and later annoying. For getting all research and all possible equipment I play till mid March.

I’m curious to know what enjoyment I might have overlooked. Maybe there are challenges I want to do myself?
BTW, your suggested changes would not affect my normal runs. So I don’t object.

I should probably just wrap it up. But I guess there is just something to be said to having all the personnel, gear, bases, etc sorted, have nothing really to think about and just have people who can go out and do haven defenses or squash nests/lairs/citadels. You're not missing much though.

I tend to do this myself in games like this. I like building up absolutely everything, getting "perfect" squads, and just dominating the enemy and enjoying being uber. Some people just like dragging things out as long as they can.
