FOB doesn't seem to have the arsenal scripted into it, established an FOB and it said cannot find script VAS or something to that nature. If I knew how to fix it i would lol

Yeah, saw them too but looks like they do not affect gameplay. Just disable script errors if they annoy you. I'll try to look at it, but this is not at high priority.

but i checked init.sqf and description.ext and there is the r3f commands but i don't see r3f ingame. do i need a specific addon or write something to make it appear?

Nope, logistics is server side script. You need to point at box / slab / etc, commands will appear. Same with heli - hover over object, and pickup option will appear in mouse wheel menu

Sorry, but i can't find any guide for r3f logistics, the only one is for developers...
Let me explain: you want to load supply drop to HEMMT. You walk to supply drop, point your crosshair to supply drop, and open menu with mouse wheel scrolling. Then you will see two new options - "Load to vehicle" and "Take object", something like this.
Same with heli - you hover over object, for example IFV, and if you keep required speed / alt - towing option will appear in mouse wheel menu.

Unable to save game. I start a game, play for a while, save it, etc. When I go to leave the game, the only option is to abort, which erases all saves

Similar save game issue for me, i can play and use the SITREP option only to save, yet if i quit the game then restart it there is no option to resume - only play which starts over :(
