Anyone know what I need to edit to change the name on the scenario list? I know how to make it play other maps, but I keep getting the files mixed up on the list.

Some aircraft spawned such as the B1 Lancer are too close to the HQ, the wings will clip into the HQ structure if I try taking off

Hey dude, amazing work with DUWS. The only problem is, that i cant save my game. It only gives me the option to "abort", which deletes all save files. Could you please do me a favor and change it so i can safe and resumme the game? :)

actually quite suprised it still works. Guessing it was a good idea to not remove it from workshop after some arma update broke mission completely - probably was arma bug after all...

@M. Hanabayashi The problem is that any kind of crash damages you and everyone else, the point at which the ai turns on you seems to be measured by damage, from my experience its 2 full health kills which is 200 damage, so if its you and him, with 2 ai, a fatal crash will turn all the ai against him. A solution is to baby him and stop him from driving anything if hes so god damn bad at it, or get an ai to taxi him around the map, OR you can find a way to execute an anti hostility script of some kind.

I don't know what EXACTLY the problem is, but every time my friend crashes their vehicle with any crew/gunner/copilot/passengers etc and they die, my friend (pilot) becomes a target from all friendly forces for "friendly fire". Is there any way to have the AI differentiate between accidental crashes and friendly fire?

I tried opening up the source in the Eden editor and it gave me a loading error. I was really hoping to be able to make my own modifications, like you can to the original DUWS. Anyone have a solution?

@rlex @Floyd Collins Can you add the ability to set the enemy faction please?? There's been so many modificaions of DUWS and yet nobody has added the ability to change enemy faction.

About 1/3rd of the time the Random Placement for enemy zones never starts and I am forced to restart. This happens both in SP and MP. Also, when selecting a side mission I am frozen at the loading screen roughly 1/3rd of the time, forcing a restart. Are there any workarounds or fixes for this? Thanks.

I understand the need for flat radius restrictions, I'm only curious why the random placement can find those locations while manual can't. Or at least it could get moved to the closest valid point if within a certain range, like the HQ is during manual placement.

By the way, how come I've received around 70CP for completing a side mission? Playing with one friend, we've just received that many points for capturing an armory truck, while I'm sure I've left the CP reward multiplier on 1. APs have increased by 25, as the mission file states, but CP rewards aren't nearly as reasonable and predictable as they were in the original DUWS.

@MajorBlunderbuss warcom was always fucked up, since original DUWS. I'm too afraid to touch it - it's too weird code-wise.
@Hyperion if i set "safe" radius to something with less radius, enemy vehicles will be exploding all the time.
@Mr Generik: original DUWS was published with share-alike license, my mission is published under same license as well. So, as for any DUWS fork, publish as you wish, just respect original license: "You are free to release any modded/modified version of the DUWS, as long as you put a link pointing to the original DUWS."

I was able to figure out how to merge your version of DUWS with Ceitho's RHS version, using your upgraded functionality with (mostly) his version of the US/RUS assets. Would you be alright with me uploading it, since his mod is no longer supported? If you're not okay with me piggybacking off your work (which I TOTALLY understand), I could provide you with the .pbo and you could publish yourself. Either way is fine. Half the reason I want it out there is for other people to debug the stuff in the .sqfs that I don't understand. lmao

I just figure there are a lot of folks out there who would probably appreciate the ability to manually place RHS zones, or use your somewhat rarer DUWS functions that don't exist in most RHS versions.

(Also considering tinkering with the similarly unsupported Phantom_Wolf USMC version, but that might be more work than I can handle.)

Could the manual placement be less restrictive, please? It would greatly help in Stratis where is scarce any space for spreading the zones evenly while starting on far south. The random zone placement generator can put a zone near the camp Maxwell helipad, into Mike-26 yard, right in the middle of camp Rogain or on flat roads, where I can't put any zones at all. Why does the random placement have smaller restrictions than manual?

By the way, do not play this with VCOM, it makes the mission incredibly laggy serverside.

@Floyd Collins - Hey mate, I'd like to ask you a short question. I've modified your version of this mission and worked on it since many months here and there, made a scenario on Kunduz with the german armed forces against some terrorists. Back in the days, when I first played the original version of DUWS, I think to remind me of random vehicles from BLUFOR side to spawn on the map or at FOB's.

In this DUWS Unoffical 1.22, I tried your original and my version, they don't seem to spawn. It's defined in folder warcom, random_veh_blu_patrol.sqf, line 29, right?

I'm curious if it has something to do with the enabled WarcomLimiter, if it has been taken away completely, if I have did something from, or if theire spawn is just very rare. An answer would be much appreciated, so my headache on this can finally stop.

Any way I can add the vehicles from the Apex update into this? I love the mod, but would really like to mess with the new vehicles. I have little knowledge of how the CK works, but it it's not too complicated I can try it.

ahh ok thx. When 'sand box drunk gaming' , i dont really care. I give myself the 800 points at the start and can spawn in a fleet of AC-130s if I want.

But if I were playing "for real" with a bud against the AI with fair settings, I'd be mad at blowing 100 CP for an AC130 that blows up upon spawn!!

@Hercules Rockefeller sadly no. Spawner uses internal arma function for finding "safe" spawn zones, but it doesn't work all the time.

Hey Floyd, thanks again for the info. One more question.

So I installed the USAF mod as well as the F-35 mod. Is there anyway to control where an aircraft spawns?

For example, all i can figure out now, is I manually place my base "near" the airport, pretty much between the 2 x runways. Then when I call in a B-1B or AC-130U etc, they always spawn in the "top right corner" (with respect to me facing the officer inside). Sometimes they are so close they are half in the building and when I order crew to mount them, they flip upside down and explode.

Anyway I know these are "sandbox" issues since they probably arent meant to be AI crewed (I cant get an AI crewed B-1B to pickle off a single weapon).

But is there anyway to "control" where an AC spawns when you Request it?

@Hercules Rockefeller it's not a mod, it's mission. Go to multiplayer -> create server (choose LAN for private one) and select mission.

NOOB question here. How do I install this? when I click "subscribe" I can see from Steam that arma3 downloads a bit. But when I open the Arma 3 launcher, no new mods appear in the Mods manager.

When I subscribe to other mods, say a vehicle for example, it instantly appears under the "available mods" section in the launcher.

What am I doing wrong?

Anyone else having an issue with using this DUWS on the new Tanoa map? When generating zones, I don't get any indicators or map markers despite telling me it's put down the zones? I'm thinking it's probably just because it's a new map but figured I'd check.

Fantastic mod, and I love it to death. I do have a question, though. I'm a huge fan of the RHS DUWS version, (Both the army and marine ones) but I can't manually place zones in those. Could you possibly explain the mechanism used in your mod, so that I can attempt to merge the feature into those? I'm not 100% I can do it, but I can at least try. I just feel that since the feature is out there, it's a waste for it to not be included in other versions.

Also seems to be terrible at placing random bases, even when there is a ton of space left. Unsubscribing and returning to DUWS-R, but favoriting to see any new updates to fix these bugs.

it will be anything.mapname.pbo. So in case of cherno, it will be duws.chernarus.pbo. Make sure to check actual map name in editor.

@Admiral Drah Hello, make a copy of the file and then add the name of the map you want to play on. For example DUWS.1.22blablabla.stratis.pbo or chernarus.pbo Just on my phone right now so I can't see the actual filename but it it no more difficult than that. Hope it helps.

Hey, could anyone help me with using this game on another map? I read the instructions and downloaded the pbo, but I don't see "altis" anywhere in the file name. Where exactly am I supposed to rename it? Is it in the code somewhere? I'm confused. :c
