About the upcoming DLC, “Roads to Power”
Roads to Power will restore (it's official!) the possibility to convert to Hellenism while playing as the Eastern Roman (Byzantine) Empire.
This is, of course, great news. As my “mission” when I first created “In the Heart of the Mediterranean” was to bring back playable Hellenism along with removing the religious restriction for restoring the Roman Empire (the Roman restoration used to be de facto restricted to Christianity), do I now consider these objectives reached? Last year the religious limits to the Roman restoration were finally removed and in a couple of weeks, Hellenism too will be payable again with an unmodded game, so I could, in fact, say this.

But it's now too early to see the full extent of the Road to Power changes, as it hasn't been released yet and I'm not lucky enough to have access to a beta version.
So the question is still very much open.
I can already explain what my plans for the future are with the mod: the new Hellenist decision seems to cover only the circumstance of a resurgent Roman Empire, and there has been no mention by the devs about removing the “dead religion” penalty for the regular conversion in-game mechanics or that the Hellenism path will be available to anyone but the Roman Emperor.
If the “dead religion” penalty will be unchanged after the new patch, I feel the mod is still needed: I'll update the events (the new state religion mechanic will need a quick fix to support it), so the conversion will still be available for all the Latin and Greek characters that have built a reasonable power base to plausibly start restoring the Old Religion to its former glory.
This is a sort of day one hotfix, that I'll try to deliver as soon as I can take a look to the new CKIII update.

Beside maintaining the current content, if the regular conversion will stay inaccessible, I'm also planning to add a conversion decision for playable unlanded characters. After all, the Old Religion survived exactly at the periphery of the medieval society and while the new way to play the game is more dedicated to adventure rather than spirituality, I'm sure it will be easy to add the option for characters to make a visit to one of the last strongholds of Hellenism to embrace the faith of their ancestors.
