An option to remove the flanking bonus to targets in smoke would be most appreciated. I believe this was a feature in Enemy Unknown.

So, I'm trying to extract a VIP from an advent city with concealed units and the aliens are obstructing the mission with overwatch. I placed alpha smoke onto a tile that triggers overwatch, moved the VIP through that tile, and the overwatch kills the VIP. Is this how the mod is intended to work? It would add much more variety of tactics and make stealth a much more viable play option if smoke could be used to defeat overwatch (and possibly other special abilities like bladestorm or suppression) categorically. It would make smoke a much more useful and viable item and open up many more legitimate options of game play if smoke had this power. I don't think it would be unbalanced or overpowered either because one is sacrificing an entire item to counter just one use of the enemy's abilities. This would make smoke a much more significant item because it could be used to get out of difficult situations and make for some thrilling moments of game play. It would also reward discipline and the optimal utilization of items.
