Hints & Solutions
To light each black candle and initiate the ritual, you need to do the following:

- Rotate the skulls so that they each face a specific direction
- Insert a dagger into each skull, but know that each skull will only accept a specific dagger
- Stop the pendulum at the top of the cabinet, stopped only by rotating the numbers to the left and right of it


Rotating the skulls:

1. The cabinets drawer

- There is a 3 digit lock preventing one of the cabinet drawers from opening.
- Is there a solution in the room?
- Does the lock itself have any clues anywhere on it?
- What happens if I just try some solutions? Do I notice anything?
- Two of the dials have black marks on them, and one doesn't.
- The dials with black marks indicate the correct numbers for those dials.
- The final dial requires testing each number until the drawer opens.


2. The Moveless Clock

- The note from the locked drawer, how can I use this information?
- What behaviour does each moving clock exhibit?
- The hour and minute hands stop in specific places on each clock, what is the difference in time if you worked these out?
- All the clocks seem to change between two times, with a difference of 5 hours and 30 minutes between each. What could that mean?
- Try adding that difference to the moveless clock face
- The answer is 5:30

3. The order of the skulls

- Inside the miniature version of the large cabinet that you open with a key gained from completing the moveless clock puzzle, there is a note containing a puzzle which tells you two pieces of information: a) which skull is which and in what order, and b) what direction they are facing
- The order of the skulls from (left to right) is Arthur, Eli, Cecil and Ulric.

4. The correct rotation of the skulls

- The note gained from the wall cabinet containing the miniature version of the large cabinet has a note telling you which way the skulls are facing.
- Before you figure out the rotation, it's useful to first figure out in which order the skulls are placed (see hints above).
- The note specifically states that skulls are facing a specific direction (e.g East), is there anything in the room that tells you which way is which?
- Take a closer look at the miniature version of the cabinet, is there anything there that isn't seen on the larger cabinet?
- The miniature cabinet has something to the left and right of the skulls
- There is a gold 'E' and 'W' in the miniature cabinets, directly next to the skulls. This indicates where is East and West.
- Starting from the left, the first skull points East (at the tomb closing), the second skull points North (towards you at the pentagram in the book in front of it), the third skull looks NorthEast (at the moveless clock in the room you're in) and the fourth skull looks to the West (because he's looking at a mirror opposite the tomb door, watching it close).

Placing the Daggers in the Skulls:

The altered grandfather clock with the skull chains:

- There must be a way of opening this clock, is there something on the clock itself which could give us a clue?
- The side of the clock has a 3 digit code with a picture of a golden goblet
- There is a golden goblet somewhere in the room
- The golden goblet is on the cabinet
- Take a look at the goblet carefully, what do you see?
- Make sure you look all over the goblet.
- There are two sequences. If you add each of the digits in both sequences together, they produce one number. One number for each number separated by an arrow (i.e the 3 digit code you need).
- The code is 666

Pulling the correct sequence of skulls

- It says to go and stand near someone and listen. What might that mean?
- Stand near each portrait in the room and see if you hear anything.
- One of the portraits exhibits a ghostly knocking sound, what is it trying to communicate?
- It knocks several times, with a pause between knocks.
- It knocks the following sequence: 3 knocks, 7 knocks, 4 knocks, 6 knocks, 1 knock
- How can that sequence be translated to the skull chains on the clock?
- Starting from left to right, imagine each skull as a number starting from 1 (i.e 1,2,3,4 etc....)
- Pull the chains in the following order: 37461

Placing the daggers

- Solving the grandfather clock gives you three new things:
a) Daggers have now appeared in the hands of each of the portraits, that can be picked up
b) Information that each brother can only ever hold their own blade (this means Eli can only hold Eli's dagger, etc)
- The notes around the room state 'they were killed/sacrificed' by their own blades'. What could this mean?
- It means that a specific brothers dagger has to go in the same brothers skull
- For the correct order of skulls (i.e which skull is which brothers, see hints above)]
- To understand who's portrait is who (to understand which dagger goes in which skull), there is a note inside a book on the right-hand side of the large central cabinet offering a descrption of each of the brothers. Use these descriptions and your memory to figure out which brother is which.
- Starting in a clockwise motion from the large cabinet, the first portrait is of Eli, then Cecil, then Ulric and finally Arthur.[/spoiler]
- With this information, and knowing the order of the skulls from the above hints, you can now add the correct daggers to the correct skulls.
- If you forget which dagger was who's see which portrait you can add that dagger back to. If the portrait accepts the dagger, it is that brothers dagger.

Stopping the pendulum

- You will need to have opened the miniature wall cabinet to find the solution to this puzzle
- The wall cabinet is a direct replica of the large cabinet in the room...or is it?
- Those six dials at the top of the cabinet look to be in a specific order on the miniature...
- Replicate that combination on the large cabinet

The tomb

- The note on the wall said 'Follow her voice into eternity', what could this mean?
- When the tomb door shuts and everything goes dark, what can I hear?
- There is a ghostly voice coming from somewhere in the room, follow it to see what happens.
