The Necromancers Deceit

Description
A ritual. A dark order. A betrayal.

Will you dare enter the sanctum of the necromancers and learn of the dark events that took place?

An atmospheric/horror style escape room.


A few notes going in to this this one:

1. Features adult themes: blood and references to death

2. REQUIRES HEADPHONES. There are puzzles that require sound to solve.

3. This is a horror puzzle experience with a few jump scares.

4. Single player only

5. Remember that you can use middle mouse to zoom in on objects in the room

it's a nice room, but i feel like there a few bugs... couldn't extinguish the candle in the first room until the 3rd time i reset and the tomb took positively for EVER to seal at the end.

Is there something you have to do in order to trigger the door closing in the last room? I am here and I picked up the note, but the door didn't close and Adelaide's voice didn't appear

@Conerad I don't remember the exact site now, I just remember I did a LOT of googling to find a site that had the ones I liked (for free). I also spent a lot of time listening to samples to find the right ones. Just takes a bit of time and persistence!

Cool and spooky with a great atmosphere! I was unable to read the last note cause the lights went out the second I grabbed it but other than that, a smooth and clever experience x

couldnt extinguish the first candle to start :(

Great job, loved the atmosphere and the story and the sound affects! had a little trouble keeping some of the puzzle sequences straight but, admittedly, a quick look at the walkthru got me back on track. However; for some reason I got to the last room and picked up the note on the wall by the mirror and nothing happened..what tomb? What voice? :steamhappy: I did stop the clock before I did the skulls, if that is of consequence. Overall :steamthumbsup::eskey:

The puzzles are very logical and the atmosphere is perfect, though! Excellent room!
I do have some issues though:
- text on the notes is tricky to read, I think bold typeface would fix it but obviously that's not too bad
- the knocks for the skull chains and the voice in the tomb never happened for me. For that first one I could just use the hints page but the second meant that, like Jay, I couldn't finish the room

Jay - Just discovered that myself actually on another room. Weird that the candle didn't work for you, it's worth noting though that the candle is only interactive once you open the briefcase and pick up and read the note.

I'm pretty sure it's an engine bug, if you face 90 deg to the wall and 'rub' up against a movable wall by pressing forward and left/right (the direction into the wall) you'll go through it. Not sure how to better describe it, sorry.
