FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Hello, fellow humans. Two years have passed, and the weapons pack from your favourite MW trilogy series have arrived! Obviously, there are always many questions to be asked about not just this pack alone, but what has happened over the past 2 years. I’ll state out some of the frequently asked questions in order not to make myself repeatedly answer it many times.

You may post your own questions here and I'll try my best to answer one by one.



Does this addon has to do with any existing MW2 weapon packs made by previous modders?
No, they don’t. This is a totally new Modern Warfare 2 weapons pack project solely ported by me and Krazy Monkey on scripting. While it’s true that my pack was inspired and drawn references from MacTonight, there are still no connections with his pack which renders obsolete to the current people’s eyes.


Why are you releasing this MW2 weapons pack today? Are you aware that there are already existing packs from MacTonight and competitive bases from M9K and ArcCW?
Just like CoD4 weapons pack, I only release addons that will offer new features not seen before amongst TFA-supported addons in order to deliver a message that nothing is impossible to achieve the dreams of game scripting and design in sandbox games like Garry’s Mod and modders can learn new revolutionary things that will be useful to port in future. Another thing to take note is that there are no possible means for competition with other weapon bases. Each weapon bases, be it M9K, CW 2.0, TFA, or ArcCW, have its own unique features. I have been a long time TFA modder since my opinion is that they have one of most stable weapon base. This doesn't however mean other bases are trash. That being said, everyone is free to port weapons to their own preferred base as long as they keep their responsibility to ensure their addon is up to date.


Why is the gun bobbing scale so intense? How do I fix this?
The gun bobbing being intense while walking or idling is due to the fact TFA devs have decided to buff the scale to make it more intense by default. My pack is using the old values which are much more balanced and non-exaggerating. To fix this, simply go to Utilities -> TFA SWEP Base Settings -> Viewmodel, set to the following values:
- Enables "Use Animated Viewbob" (For enabling weapon's pan camera)
- Enables "Custom Gun Bob"
- Gun bob intensity = 1.00
- Viewmodel Offset X, Y, Z, FOV = 0.00


Any new features offered from MW2 pack?
Whatever new features that have been introduced from CoD4 pack, as well as the 5 working launchers! Thermal sight, heartbeat sensor, and tactical knives are also included.


Why are Masterkey and Akimbo not available?
We do not have sufficient coding means as the process is difficult to input into TFA base. While we are trying our best to do deep research into the coding process, it would be better if TFA devs can introduce new features regarding attachments like Masterkey and Akimbo.


Why take 2 years to release MW2 pack after the CoD4 pack?
CoD4 and MW2 projects started in early 2018. It took us long time because we needed lots of time to study the codes as well as waiting for new features dedicated to sophisticated attachments involving thermal sight, heartbeat sensor, tactical knife etc. Porting is done properly to ensure it meets almost the exact specification as CoD ingame. Maybe that explains it easily take long time to port both packs, as well as upcoming MW3 pack.


Will there be MW3 projects?
Yes, sequels are working in progress…


Will you be making MW weapons pack for other bases like CW2.0 or ArcCW?
No, I'm a TFA modder. I do collaborated with CW2.0 and ArcCW modders as well and gave them some advice on how to port them and fixing bugs. You are feel free to visit the Call of Duty Weapons Command Room[discord.gg] on Discord. Everyone is open to sincere suggestions or collaborations.

It will be on the same day as official release in Workshop, just like the other 2 packs.

do you like other weapon bases? cause i like m9k arc and tfa cw2.0 is very limited so i dont like it that much [apart for the tf2 weapons those are bangers]

I use TFA now because I like its current stable weapon stats development and many other rich features, as I've been using them since 2018. M9K and CW2 are also good too but they lack some features like I'm forced to press & hold secondary button to aim/scope. ArcCW (or Arc9 now) is still fresh so I will look it up later when their base finally stabilizes.
