Debugger Discussion
Thanks for the debugger, it's awesome! I did notice a few things that maybe weren't intended, or would be nice to have. Since my list exceeds the character limit for comments on the Workshop page, I figured I'd start a a discussion on this topic. This way, if anyone else has suggestions, they can go in this thread too.

1. When using the Debugger environment, I can't rewind at all in that game. Also, if I go back to the main menu I can't continue the game.

2. The Debugger cards are not indestructible, so while I was testing some cards that manipulated the environment they ended up shuffled into the deck.

3. When choosing the replacement environment at the start of the game, I can only choose from the 4 non-DLC environments. It'd be nice to be able to test mod environments with the debugger too.

4. The Destroy Cards option does not allow you to destroy environment cards. Send Cards to Trash also can't see environment cards in play, only ones in the deck.

5. If you set a target's HP to 0, it doesn't get destroyed until it's dealt more damage.

6. It would be nice to have an option to let a hero use a power or incap ability in the debug menu.

7. For the Stack a Deck option, it would be more intuitive to choose the cards in the order they will end up on top - that is, with the first card chosen ending up on the very top. As it is, the first card you choose is the last to be played, which makes it harder to stack multiple cards how you want.

8. I haven't used this in OblivAeon mode yet, but being able to move characters between battle zones using the debugger would be amazing for that.

9. One option I thought of is "Go to the start of a hero's turn". Seems like it could be useful, but not a necessity.

Long time no response - sorry for the delay! I just pushed out a new update and I thought I would address some of these:

1. Being unable to rewind is unfortunately a side effect of loading in a different environment. There's nothing I can do (that I am aware of) to get rewinds and continues to work here.

2. This is a good point, in a future update I'll make sure to adjust accordingly.

3. This has been changed! Now you can select any environment including mod environments!

4. This has been fixed in the latest update.

5. This is a pretty easy fix, but I haven't done it yet. I'll get it into a future update.

6. These have been added in the latest update.

7. This is currently the same behavior as stacking multiple cards in the base game, but I can definitely adjust this in a future release.

8. This has been added in the latest update. Option 0 - Switch Battlezones will only appear if you are in OA mode.

9. I tried to implement this, but there is some hard coded logic for Media Res visually that causes the game to lock up. I might be able to figure something out for this eventually, but as of right now, I'm not seeing how to get this working.

Thanks for the great notes and thoughts!

Thanks, these changes look great! This will make testing cards a lot easier. It's a shame about the rewinds, since I think that would be a big QOL improvement, but we can't have everything.

On #7, I thought the base game treated it like I described, with the first choice being the one to end up on top. For example, when you use Dark Watch Nightmist's base power, the first prompt is "select card to put on the very top of the deck", followed by "select card to put second from the top of the deck". But I guess it might work differently for revealed cards versus when you have the whole deck to pick from... I'm not sure.

What if you moved the entire deck to "revealed", then each card selected is moved to the bottom of the deck? Then when the player is done stacking, move the rest of the revealed cards to the bottom of the deck.

Just a note but if you play fixed point the debugger cards get stuck in play and you can't activate them again.
